first, you need to go to the gate entrance and ask the animal on the right about "friend code" he should, after telling you a little about it first, give you your code. You will want to write it down and post it here along with your town's and animal's name. Then, to add friends go to your suitcase and click on the heart icon on the top, and there should be spots to add several other friend codes. Hope that helps!
