Nintendo had their meeting with investors earlier and some of the reveals are still being figured out. Some of the surprises include a free game that will allow you to tap your amiibo to get some free gaming. Not a full game, but its still being translated. Another surprise is an Amiibo trading card game and an official logo for Project Giant Robot. Something interesting from the meeting is that 63% of all amiibo sales are based in NA.

Its not quite the QoL and Unified platform announcements mentioned in previous investor meetings, but it is interesting to see their NFC plans.

What do you guys think? Anything interesting for you?

Also announced was the Ganon pack for Hyrule Warriors. It lets you play as the beast Ganon and a free update which includes various features. This is supposed to happen sometime in February.

I was hoping their Amiibo title would be something more like a Nintendoland 2, Oh well.

I'm just skeptical on how big of a success Amiibos actually are. Are they actually selling out because the demand is too high? Or because they are poorly stocked, and Scalpers are just taking advantage. I'm sure that means little to Nintendo at this point, unless of course they feel like the low stock is just leaving money on the table.

Ike and Megaman haven't even released at some stores yet. Check your Bestbuy and Gamestops on Friday.

I don´t think they are low in stock, at a Gamers & Game Planet ( the equivalent in Mexico for Gamestop ) the stores have anywhere from one to three entire walls packed with them ( depending upon the size of the store ), the only problem here is not having enough money to get several at a time. Shure, some are much more desirable than others but I don´t see any shortage. The truth is that store like these are beating the crap out of Amiibo speculators with their ridiculous prices, why pay 60-70 US to an e-bay speculator when you can get it for 15-20 at a retail store ?

That's not happening

Certain characters are sold out day one, go grab a villager or Wii Fit trainer where you are.

Interesting theory regarding QOL platform. If Nintendo makes some innovative health gadgets, then throws them on Ellen and wherever else, I would expect sales aplenty (and then some more). I know I'll be interested in whatever they release just because I'm a bit on the health-conscious side.
