Strong rumours said Sonic will be there.

But yeah, Solid Snake the same from Metal Gear Solid has been confirmed since E3 2006. I remember the Sony fanboys on System Wars claimed it sucked that it was a Sony character and that Nintendo paid Kojima for that which it was wrong. It was Kojima himself who asked Sakurai to put Snake on SSBB. There's a huge rumour that it's Kojima who designed the level for Snake on the game.

don't you just hate it when they do that! I know I do. But its always cool unlocking stuff, and not knowing anything about the character. Like Marth was a wicked cool unlock in Melee, and very unexpected! Don't you agree?Kwing1983

Just some of my kind of unrealistic fantasies:

Wouldn't it be cool if you could use midna she would be pretty cool and maybe link could morph into a wolf

Rampage wasn't that good of a game but imagine having one of those mutants in the game.

Maybe since lethal alliance is on the DS nintendo will finnaly include a star wars character in ssb

Another cool thing would be virtual console characters now that would rock

Dragon ball Z characters would fit pretty well into super smash bros goku or vegeta would definately rock

Those would be cool but doubtful nintendo even considered them

All of those characters have like a 0.1% chance of ever being in the game. DBZ and Star wars are like more of a 0.00001% chance though. Very unlikley.

It's said that to be included in Brawl, they have to originate from a video game.

if they were gonna put final fantasy characters they would probably only put the ones that appeared on Nintendo consoles, still it would be cool to play as Cecil or maybe Bartz or Ferris from FF5, their moves could involve switching jobs for different attacks

even solid snake was on nintendo first, so i dont see characters who were never on a nintendo console (i.e. cloud, sephiroth) appearing on this game
