I know I know, the conduit and madworld. They look spectacular, but what I mean is SOON? i want to get back into wii gaming its just hard because there are barely any hardcore games out there. I'm thinking of getting No More Heroes soon, but are there any new ones coming really soon?

De Blob is a game for the 'core'.

It is. Its deep and fun. Story is enjoyable too.

A lot of games with good quality are coming out. - Fragile - Little King's Story - The Conduit - MadWorld - Deadly Creatures - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World - World of Goo (WiiWare) - Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars
A lot of those are coming in 2009 -- and I don't know if those would fit under your definition of 'core' -- but all of those are going to be titles of good quality.

Wario Land the Shake Dimension.
If you can beat the game 100%(treasures and challenges) you can call yourself a hardcore player.

i did see that, but the starkness of your initial judgement still struck a chord.
there's plenty of great games, if you can't find any perhaps it is the wrong platform for you. as also mentioned above wario land shake it gave us another great game just two weeks ago..
I suggest you look at one of the two stickies for recommendations. But just to clarify, here is my holiday Wii list (pretty sure they all come out by the end of December): Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars, Deadly Creatures, Sam and Max Season 1, Wario Land: Shake It!, De Blob, Tales of Symphonia 2, Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop.
