it will be a good year for the Wii, no doubt. But I don't really expect too much out of Nintendo to be honest. Punch Out, and Sin & Punishment 2 and WiiSports Resort (M+). After that, I don't see anything from them besides maybe the Wiimakes (which I bet they will consider hardcore games, and push back other titles into 2010). Nothing wrong with those 3, but I can see complaints already coming if no online is added to at least 2 of those, and difficulty levels as well.
Don't get me wrong, this will be the 3rd party year for the Wii which is great, and much needed.
Conduit
MadWorld
Deadly Creatures
MH3 (I think it's for 09?)
Fragile
Arc Rise Fantasia
Marumusa (sp?)
HotD: overkill
etc.
I'm willing to bet there will be more announced soon.
We're really seeing some interesting third party games that are bringing a style of gaming unseen on the other consoles. The Nintendo first party lineup seems a bit slim at the moment, but Nintendo is always tight-lipped, so who knows? Another Zelda game could be announced at any moment, but i'm not holding my breath for Nintendo to put out a great 2009. There's a lot of grindhouse, violent games coming for the wii in 2009, and i'm all for it if it leads to a darker, more adult side of the Wii.
Madworld
No More Heroes 2
House of the Dead: Overkill
Cursed Mountain
Pile on the Conduit, Muramasa, and Deadly Creatures and it's looking perhaps better than 2008, which is good since the other consoles show no sign of slowing down.
My prediction is that it will outsell every other console like it did this year but still come out with some really crappy games and never recognize its potential. Don't get me wrong the wii is still a Fantastic console.gmaster456
Notice i said SOME crappy gamesgmaster123What the hell??? Why do you have 2 different profiles???
No More Heroes in 2010, not 2009.We're really seeing some interesting third party games that are bringing a style of gaming unseen on the other consoles. 2010, that willbe the year wii truly shows its dominance. My predictions for THAT year.
No More Heroes 2
Zelda and Metroid Prime (okay, probably not, but if we can secure this in the same year, the other consols will be begging for help)
Star Fox
F-Zero
The Sadness (we know so little this game could pull an upset)
Valve's game
An incredible amount of third party support.

An announcement that ALL RPG's from this point on WILL INCLUDE MAPWALK (This is why most of the new ones are sooo short, the bosses levels are sooo low that you don't have to walk around and level up to beat them. Go Check for yourself, you'll notice the difference between a RPG WITHOUT Mapwalk will be around 30-50 hours long and a RPG WITH Mapwalk will be around 500-600 Hours Long).
An announcement that ALL JAPAN-ONLY Games will be released outside of Japan will be made.
Oh and the Wii will win yet another year in sales.
I can dream right?
