Toe Jam and Earl for sure. I heard good things about it, but honestly it's one of the worst and most frustrating games I've ever played. Love all my other VC titles though, especially playing through Link to the Past again.
No, but my friend regrets getting Gunstar Heroes. We got epilepsy from playing that freaking game. Can't.... stand....the blinking..... colors!! Seriously, when you're low on health... That have to be bad for your eyes. One more thing: Why the hell can you throw eachother around? I don't know how many times I accidentally killed my friend by throwing him away from cliffs and stuff. I'm never getting this game. If I want a game like this I'd go with Super Probotector (Contra III) instead, which I like 50 times more.
Yes, Mario Bros., Donkey Kong and F-Zero. I never play those games but I suppose they are cheap anyway. I might play them in the future though when I am really in the mood.
Super Star Soldier: To be simple, there are better shooters out there...
Bonk's Adventure: Controls and movement from Bonk feel constricted, along with there not being enough of variety in character actions and attacks.....
I should stop buying VC games. Mario Bros sucks since I played the crap out of the All-Stars version, and Gunstar Heroes is just well.....crap. Too short, you can practically cheat, no save function and too tedious at times. Comix Zone I suck at, but I actually WANT to beat it.
Super mario 64. I have played it to death before and i still bought it for some reason. And what is that guy up there somewhere talking about? super castlvania owns you!

Why? The game is great. If it's too hard, just practice. :P I thought I'd give castlevania a chance, but it's just not fun imo, and I didn't find it too hard, either. The only redeemable quality for me was the music, which was pretty good.
I don't think any of the games I got were really worth the money... except maybe Super Mario Bros. (I never get tired of that game).
VC is overpriced in general IMO, and the system for buying Wii Points is unforgiving (only buy in chunks of 1000 when games cost 500, 600 or 800).

I feel your pain, I got 2000 point card and bought gunstar heroes (800) and Super Mario Bros(500) then I had 700 points left and couldn't buy a snes/mega drive game which I really wanted :( so I got kirby(500) when that came out... now I've got 200 points so I guess at some point I'll pickup another points card or do that points conversion thingy once Nintendo of Europe gets their act together :(
My only VC regrets are only half regrets, since I'm sure I'll get around to playing all of them someday. I picked up Kirby since I had leftover points and it's the one I have on my GBA (I figured, but went for it anyway), but it's still fun to play it on my TV and not my DS. I bought Street Fighter II for SNES, which is fun, but not so much without a second CC and another player. My woes on the Sega are also about half and half. The games that are great are awesome (Ristar, Comix Zone [hard but really fun], Toejam and Earl [for those of you that didn't like it, find another player], Streets of Rage) but other games I am disappointed with. Namely Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic the Hedgehog (go ahead, flame a way, but the level design was really simply and Sonic didn't have spin attack yet. The second one was loads better) Bonk seems like it was awesome back then, but I could really care less now though. Everything else I'm really happy with. Especially Super Mario World. I never had a SNES and when I bought it for my GBA I lost it like 2 weeks after and never found it again when I had the money for it. So I'm enjoying that and Donkey Kong Country a WHOLE lot right now.
I agree. I let my brother talk me into this because we remembered the ColecoVision game (at least, I thought it was on ColecoVision -- maybe not). Terrible, terrible purchase.

The original Toe Jam and Earl is one of my favorite games ever, and is head and shoulders better than the sequal. Get a friend to play it with you and let the fun commence.
Same here... my fiancee told me to get it because she liked it and it turns out she was thinking of something else. lol. It's only $5 though. I've pissed through $5 on worse purchases.
All of them! Retro gaming sucks, it took me 2 purchases to realise this.... It also made me very angry, VC has tarnished the good memories I had of a couple of my favorite games of old...
Ristar. Why? Because I never played it before now. It seems any retro games I download on my Wii or 360 are fun and nostalgic IF I've played them when I was young and had good memories of them. If I've never played them before I'm usually like WTF is this because they are so dated.
I've got Bonk's Adventure, SMB, MK64, Comix Zone, and Golden Axe. GA is the only one that I regret, mostly because I wanted a beat 'em up really badly and I knew SoR was a long way off. GA just isn't as fun as SoR, TMNT, or FF.
I got Super Mario Bros, Gunstar Heroes, Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, Link to the Past, and Mario Kart 64. All of them I really like and I don't regret buying any of them.
R-TYPE (I never liked the side-scrolling shooters. I prefer top-down ones immensely more) Bonk's Adventure (I forgot how slowly Bonk walked... I haven't powered up my TG-16 in a few years) Ice Hockey Bomberman 93 (great game from my youth, just no real interest in playing it anymore) Solomon's Key (hey, there weren't many choices early on, but the main character has the same name as me, so I was kinda suckered into that one.. It's good, I just don't play $5 worth of it) Gunstar Heroes (I never liked Genesis... got this because it looked like Metal Slug, it's alright.. Zelda: A Link to the Past (best Zelda game of all time. I regret spending $8 on it because I don't play it. I beat it years ago on the SNES, and I won't ever play it through again... But I got it because I loved it... I am an idiot sometimes. heh)
