Last thing heard about it was was a mention at E3 where Miyamoto said they are still working on it and it is far into development but they didn't want to show it at E3 because it would get lost in the shuffle. My guess is it will be out mid next year.
Me too. I hope something is annouced at the Tokyo Game Show or whatever it is called. Pikmin 3 would automatically become my most anticipated title.

Nintendo usually isn't at TGS. But sometimes, they have their own conference in october.
I remember when it was first confirmed. Miyamoto was asked something along the lines of "Is there a Pikmin in development for the Wii", which he confirmed, and the media assumed that was Pikmin 3. Instead, we all know they were working on New Control Play versions of Pikmin 1 & 2 at the time, which I think is what he thought the media meant. I've yet to find a source in which anyone from Nintendo has said, clearly, that Pikmin 3 is in development. Maybe thats just me though...Raiko101It's just you, you're amazingly misinformed. Miyamoto has repeated countless times Pikmin 3 is in development, the most recently at E3. He claimed development is going well but that there are was no point in announcing it at E3 since they already had a lot of material.
He recently said he wants to get Pikmin out of the way so he can start a new IP. So Pikmin will be here sooner than we think. Something like that.
Well, at a E3 round table, Miyamoto said that they didn't show Pikmin 3 because with everything else they announced, it would take the attention away from it. I don't blame them, with some games people have been waiting a long time for, like a new DK, a new Kirby, Goldeneye, Kid Icarus, and of course the 3DS and new Zelda, which would steal the most attention from it.
He did say though that they are hard at work on it because they have to finish it quickly, and saidthe development of the game would be done soon after Skyward Swords completion.
He also said it will be done soon after Skyward Sword is complete. He recently said he wants to get Pikmin out of the way so he can start a new IP. So Pikmin will be here sooner than we think. Something like that.

The only thing I've heard was that it is under Development. Either way, it gives me time to still play and beat Pikmin 2. 5 years, and I have still haven't played it:cry:

The project seems to be moving slowly as Miyamoto said there is a limited number of developers working on the game, maybe when other games are finished (Zelda for example), Pikmin 3 will gain speed towards its completion. I can't wait to see images of how the game looks like.
There you go That'll do I suppose lol. I wonder whats taking them so long. Are they making an entirely new engine? Is it going to be quite different from the original two? It's taking its time either way.[QUOTE="Raiko101"]I remember when it was first confirmed.
