I wouldn't mind to see it at all. It was fun with MGS4 and would be agreat addition to a new system that won't have a ton of shooters good or bad.

MGS3 Subsistence actually had the first form of Metal Gear Online with it (no SOP system or anything like that, though), so they have a template to go on.

I forgot about that one, I doubt it will happen though.

Well personally I didn't find MGO to be "that" great and I would rather them focus on making it more solid remake than port.

Didn't they say they were going to include the online elements from Portable Ops/Peace Walker/Whatever? Since it's 3D and all, I was actually expecting something along the lines of a port/enhanced remake of Metal Gear Acid 2...you know, since it had 3D elements =P

MGO on the PS3 was awesome. ridiculous learning curve but awesome. but i wonder if it would be practical on the 3DS.

it really was too bad theres like 500 insanley good people on there now and thats it. I guess it would only work it they found a good control system for the main game. Cause the first three MGS had awful controls

I'd rather them make a hundred co op missions that you can play after you beat the main game like in mgs peace walker

There are still quite a few players on MGO. On good nights (which is basically the last 4 or so days of the week) you can get easily over a thousand or so people online, so MGO isn't quite dead yet =)

Anyway back on topic, I think that would be great. I mean i have yet to use my old DS online but... Oh, actually now that i think about it I'd agree with the others in that i'd prefer a solid story mode than online. MGS3 is an amazing game and full attention should be given to the story.
