Anyone else notice how there is literally NO hype for PBR?

I totally forgot the game was even in existance actually. Even if it's going to be the first online game in the US, it seems like noone cares. I guess people have learned that pokemon games on consoles aren't that great.

Still, there have been NO previews or anything! Usually when a game is released, there will be threads saying "I GOT *insert game here*!!!!!" There have been none of PBR.

Probably won't score very well also. I'm guessing around a 7.5 I'm looking forward to the new review system rather than the actual review for the game.

and i never said it was gonna get a good score. assuming is bad. gamespot is usually not that reliable in scores for Wii games....

either way, there will be some who will enjoy the game regardless of a magasine score

The reason that there is no hype is that the major Pokemon console game is coming out way too soon. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl came out only about 2-3 months ago and ittook at least a year or two for themto produce a pokemon console game after the version. Remember when Pokemon Redand Blue versions came out in 1998? It tookuntil2000 for Pokemon Stadium to be released. I think it's the fact that we weren'texpecting this game so soon.

All it has is stadiums and online, it is missing all the features from the N64 games (e.g gyms, ability to play D/P on tv).Nintendo_Man

I dont have any but the reason is it was the only way i could keep the sig under the 2000 character limit.

When I read 'PBR', the only thing I could think of was Pabst Blue Ribbon.

lol i like the logic here...yes the very first stadium didnt come out untill 2 years later because...they didnt think of it yet! lol

btw to fill in u guys, NP gave it a 6.5 but the guy wrote mostly good things, except he was let down because of the lack of mini games. I have it and i can tell you, good graphics, good customization, and really battling is what it is. no true surprises, but if your looking fora DEEP game with many different modes your not gonna get it here, but the single player is a good size and if u import your pokemon from DP it makes it alot more fun. to me it was worth buying most def.

That's because they have tried and failed with Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Also, one must realize that pure RPGs are normally much better on hendhelds so the best way that Nintendo can emulate the Pokemon formula on home colsoles is by scrapping the story and the overworld, and making the game primarily a fighting game.

Actually it's pretty easy to understand. If you want the RPG type Pokemon games you buy a Nintendo handheld. If you want a fighter you buy the console version. Nintendo has used this method to get people to buy a console and handheld for the last decade.

What's different this round is that Nintendo has made the DS and Wii work together better then any of their devices have ever worked.

As I understand it, it's pretty lame for online, since you're not really battling each other... only just turn-based like in the game.

The only neat thing it has is being able to interface with your DS pokemon games wirelessly so you can use the pokemon you already have in that game. But that alone just seems... well, weak.

Would be nice if it had some functionality like pokemon box where you could offload pokemon on there for storage as well and then be able to transfer/trade them with others on the Wii. But I don't think that function is in this game.

And from what I've understood, the game doesn't really have a story mode like XD or colisseum did either, so that diminishes the value of actually buying it at $50.
