Does anybody feel the same was as me, in that, I find it boring? I can't even stand to play it because I get bored. I don't know what it is... this is exactly how I felt about Viewtiful Joe as well.

Many people said its a great game -- but I never really liked it. Okami just seems .. boring to me... Nothing makes me want to put the game in my Wii and play it. I also heard its a long game and I'm about 15 hours into it..

I can't play super long games anymore, I simply don't have the time..

I feel ya on that. I miss playing games alot... but I really don't have the time either. I actually have to put things off to play anymore. Kinda sad.

I miss the old days where I could stay up all night long, and just play with no consequences

Ya see, I'm just the opposite... thirty-six hours into the game and I just don't want it to stop.... Cause it's damn good!!! Art, Story, Characters, Music.... It's all awesome. But then again, I friggin' love Zelda... and Okami is pretty much Zelda, but different. So, I don't know what your problem is... maybe you're turning into a casual gamer???? Or maybe you're just growing up.

Can't say I found it boring, though it did drag on at times. But I can see where you're coming from when you say you can't get through long games anymore. I don't have much time either, and also can't sit through stuff for hours upon hours, like some of my friends.

Saying Okami is boring is like saying LoZ: Twilight Princess is boring. Yeah Okami's probably longer, but you don't have to play it all at once. You can probably play it in sessions of 30 minutes between save points.

And Viewtiful Joe is a freaking awesome game.

Just my opinion though.

This is how i feel about Twilight Princes. Okami i like because its a nice change of pase. I dont play it often but i like it for when i get tried or stressed pop in okami and play a little because its not much work. Bark at a few people find a few things draw a pretty picture then save and sleep. I also really liked VJ but it was kind of boring. It was really kool i liked the story and the people and the things you could do and trying to pull of combos but after like 1/2 a week its no fun to play anymore

I feel the same way as the TC. I got it almost 2 months ago and have got a fair chunk of the way through it (got the dragon orb and done the impoertant fight after) but there is nothing that makes me want to go and complete it, I just can't be bothered.

I don`t. I don`t have lots of time to play long games either. I usually played Okami late at night after I came back from College and I usually only had a couple of hours to do so. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it a lot.

Yes, I think Okami for the Wii and Viewtiful Joe are boring aswell... They both "look" great, but don't keep my attention for very long. I don't see how people compare Okami to Zelda... I mean they both have "wolves" in them but they are totally different games.

I don't think that is what people mean. It is more of the "ADVENTURE" play of it. Not quite Zelda, just that Okami borrows some of the elements from some of the Zelda game, has a great story (in my opinion), and in some ways it is played the same.

Personally, my favorite series has always been Zelda, no matter what. I happen to be one of those that was very pleasantly surprised by what Okami is, and I can't seem to put it down when I actually have time to play it. I'm about 30 something hours ito the game and have enjoyed very much.

This is why people should not always get a game just for the hype. I got Gears Of War thinking it was going to be a good game, and I could just not get into it, maybe, just maybe one day I may just give it another shot, pass a few levels and see if I can see why so many people hype it so.

Personally, I think Okami is great. Even after playing the PS2 version, I'm still captivated by the Wii edition.

I can definitely identify with Haz on the "not enough time" issue though. I wish I could spend more time playin Okami, but time constraints make it annoyingly impossible. I too miss the old days where I could stay up til 5 AM hammering through a game. Now, I have to wake up at 5. UGH!!

It's the same for me. Wii is going to be my last console that I'll buy. I'm just not into video games anymore. Games are now boring. When people prefer shooters and violent games, it irrates me. I want originality.

As for Okami, it's a great game for me. I'm not bored on it. It's Zelda in a lite version.

Welcome to the world of work. I have never been a morning person my self, not one bit, but it is necessary now that I wake up at that time, the worst days are those that get home almost at midnight so that I can repeat the process the next day. Yup, growing up certainly doesn't allow for all those hours of game playing anymore. The last time I was able to actually sit and play for what I would call a long time was when my girlfriend was in Florida and I had the house all to my self.

I remember that kind of lifestyle. Man, those days were so awesome. When I was a kid, I woke up at 6 AM before going to school and I played on my NES. When I was older, I played some games through an entire night. Ocarina of Time on my N64 was my first game that I made this.

I really enjoyed this game back on the PS2. Was one of my favorite games last gen, and I loved Viewtiful Joe (I played that thing perhaps 20 times through, it was just so awesome. XD ) and among other Clover Studio games I enjoyed too.

Actually I did find LoZ:TP boring, it just seemed stale in the art direction, story, and quests. I loved Okami though, It's right up there with Ocarina on my top 10. It was pleasant to look at, the story got moved nicely and had some good twists. Even though I think it was just as easy as Twilight Princess, there were more tasks, challenges, and rewards to keep me occupied. Ex. Bead quest>than Poe or Magic armor quest combined, It's "I'm now a true god with unlimited power" versus "I get free rupees to make myself in vincible for a little while, hooray! 'does a twirl'".

Yeah TP was most boring of the two. I didn't get bored that much in Okami but it dragged on in places, Zelda dragged on a lot more at times.

Okami might not be for everyone but , to me, it's exactly what I like in a game -original. it's also very pretty.

I loved it on the PS2 and felt it was criminally ignored there as well. Maybe it's a bit like a book, in that it gets better and more immersive after you get a certain way into it(like reading the Lord of The Rings or The Idiot for the first time). Whatever, some people won't get it and will find it a bit one paced but it remains one of gamings touchstones for me . I can't decide whether it's better on the Wii though-even though it really should be the right console for the job.

I have no idea what you're talking about! It's the one of the best games I've ever played! Maybe if you play it a bit longer you might get a bit more interested. I have it for the Wii it might make a difference what system you have it for.

It has some VERY slow points especially around the middle (about where you are). The game was really great at the beginning (until Orochi) and the end (once you get to yoshpet). The middle was good, could've been better. I say stick with it and it'll (hopefully) pick up

The problem is that the game is too long and badly paced, IMO. It's a great game if you can get past those issues but most people can't including myself, I stopped playing 20 hours into the game.

I haven't played it yet (will soon), but I'm guessing you don't like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Shenmue or Metroid either. All games require the player to sit back and appriciate the subtleties of the environment, gameplay, and characters. With patience you will enjoy it.

I didn't find it boring, I just didn't find it exciting. I wouldn't fault the game for it though; I just won't praise it. It never really got me involved, granted I'm only 2 hours in. The busted controls made me stop. The arythmic and unresponsive controls were horrible. They made me want to hang myself from a ceiling fan.

Haziqonfire

Man I thought I was the only one. I try to play them but it takes me forever to beat them because while I play them, if I get other new games that takes up the limited time I have. The last long game I beat relatively quickely was Twilight Princess; that took me a few months. Tales of Sypmphonia took me 9 months, Paper Mario TYD took me a year and a half, it's kinda sad. And the only games I like these days are long story-driven games. I just got a PS2 with some RPG's and I don't want to imagine how long those will take to finish if I ever do.

I avoided Okami altogether on the principle that I usually don't like "god-games." They're just too weird for me. Viewtiful Joe, even though I actually own it, is kind of boring. All you do is beat up endless waves of silly characters. It's kind of depressing. Still, the game isn't bad altogether: I might even go back and try to beat it now. :)

I just bought Okami yesterday. Haven't played it yet though because of school. Oh well, I have the weekend.

I feel exactly the same, I had to stop playing Okami 15 hours into it because it literally puts me to sleep (no kidding, my eyes close and I start yawning). As I said many times it's a great game, but the lack of any story, no charismatic bad guy, uninteresting protagonist, easy and repetitive combat and too many too long useless text-only dialogs (with an unreadable font) made it impossible for me to have fun with it. Again, I think it's a great game and the brush is gorgeous, it's just not for me :(
