I doubt it. Other versions barely have anyone online. I don't think the DS version would. And since you got it, why don't you see if anyone plays it online?
I'm still anticipating picking up a copy of this. I don't expect the online section to be too popular, but i'm liking the concept of the track editor. I was put off by the low camera in the prequel though; Race Driver Create & Race and sold it days after getting it.

They fixed the camera, but I think the track editor is clunky. The racing is awesome for a handheld though. I really recommend the campaign experience.
