I got the game yesterday and tbh im not happy... I did watch alot of reviews and videos on youtube, and heard many complaints about the aiming system, but still thought id give it a chance as WAW is a good game and thought MWR would be an even better improvement. Appearance-wise I think it looks really good, I have an old school tv and tbh the graphics dont look bad considering its a Wii game. My main complaint about this game is, the maps are just too damn big! a match lasts roughly 9 minutes and you spend about 3/4 of the time running around aimlessly trying to find someone to shoot at! Again the aiming is terrible meaning its harder to kill people making it take twice as long to level up compared to WAW. I havn't played the story mode yet as I really only got the game to play online im hoping to try it out later if I have time.Wayne_Lil
I have yet to get the game (friggin' Walmart didn't have it, gotta go further out of my way today :/) but after watching a LOT of matches on youtube, I'm calling shenanigans on you.
First: yes, the maps seem to be quite large. But I have yet to see anyone run around for more than 20 seconds before finding themselves in a firefight. 95% it seems to be non-stop action, except maybe if you're sniping. Even then, they know the good perches and probable areas that people tend to go for.
Second: I've yet to really see any control inefficiencies apparent in the videos, either. Except maybe for the reviewers who said it felt so alien since they were used to the PS3/360 controllers. Gunner's are whipping around corners, accurately pursuing and executing the other team. Snipers are popping head shots like crazy, and a lot seem to be able to lead their targets well. Plus the fact that you can completely customize the controls to your preference, as well as adjust sensitivity.
Not calling you out or anything, just merely pointing out that your complaints may be a little too quick, 'tis all.
Bigger maps shouldn't be an issue because it's 5v5 compared to only 4v4 for WaW. I think it's more an issue of the maps being so much less open because of all the buildings, but you'll get used to it. The controls are customizable so they shouldn't be an issue unless you're inexperienced or just suck with Wii controls.
Really, MWR destroys WaW. Twice as many maps, regional search option, and actually has lots of other modes besides TDM/FFA.
What?
The maps are bigger coz the number of online players is bigger
And the controls are the same, if not more customizable, as World at War
Are you playing the same game i've been playing for two months?
