North American, its 18+.
i just realized M is 17+ ... lol i thought it was 18.. in dec im of 'legal' age to purchase M games.
The cutoff age for Adult Only games is 18. The cutoff for Mature games is 17. The ESRB also distinguishes the two by saying that AO games should only be played by people 18 or older, while Mature games are better suited to people 17 and older. Seems like a meaningless difference to me. The AO rating should be reworked or completely abolished.
So people 21 and under can go to war and see all these things in real life but God forbid that they see it on TV. VIVA BUSH!!AlCoCeR_AlVaRo
Viva America, actually. We've been sending 18-year olds to war since before Bush was born. Not all of our problems can be put on the president. ;)

Exactly what I thought.Well it seems like their trying to imitate the MPAAs R and NC-17 ratings (which are worded in basically the same way as the two ESRB ratings, save for the fact that NC-17 features 17 as the cutoff point) ThePlotholeBoth are pretty ridiculous and need to be re-thought. Like why can you watch the highest rating for a movie at 17 but can't play the highest ranked game till 18? Some M rated movies are much worse than Manhunt 2 and don't me get started on NC-17. It's a mess how both rating systems work.
So why would this game be AO is it really that much gorier than the 1st? Oh is there something I am missing... nudity, language (more than the first)?
gotdangit
It sounds pretty bad...
