It's a cheat system that alters certain elements in the game. It doesn't have to be used for cheating. I only use it to make a game that I've already thoroughly played more interesting. It can do some pretty neat things.
Great just what we need, AR has killed the online fun in one of my favourite games of all time :(. Animal Crossing has had so many problems with idiots destroying peoples towns with hacked items that many of the people I used to visit just don't go online anymore, and I have resigned from opening my gates myself these days....
I don't have a problem with ARs offline coz it can make some games a lot funner after they've been finished but Ima be pissed if ssbb or other online wii games end up with cheats. Its the reason i stopped playing socom and ps2, people running around with no recoil, instant headshots and knowing where i always was was very annoying.
Can't wait to buy it. I love using those, i think they make the game more fun. Most of the time i wait to beat a game to use them though. Somethimes I can't wait though haha. you have the price?

I'll buy it for offline playing, but online or competition, I don't like being cheap because then it ain't fun. I never even knew that you can use action replay for online
Cheats are for loosers. I cant see why I would buy this kind of crap. If online play for SSBB get a lot of cheaters, Ill surely play with my friends offline for my whole life. Its just so plain stupid playing with cheats. Hope there is a firmware upgrade to prevent this kind of crap.

Yep, it allows you to play media without having to use the photo channel. It also has more contols and options, such as volume, rewind, fast forward, and you can use it while playing a game. It adds an extra icon (AR Media) to the home menu for "in game" contols.
Hahahahaha... ahhh. AR is so lame. I'm not necessarily offended by people using it to cheat with their own game or just mess around, but with any online game it's just pathetic because it affects other people's experience. Nobody is impressed if you get the ultra high leaderboard score by cheating. Nobody.
I only really enjoy AR for RPGs that I've gone through. One of my favorite ones is Final Fantasy 3 and all the codes you can use to change characters, give them attacks, always wearing sprint shoes, and have enemies drop items after every battle. That gave FF3 almost infinite replay value for me.
The Wii is region locked, so if you live in the US you cant play games from the UK or Japan and vice versa. So what a freeloader does is it allows you to play those games on the Wii, so you can import any game and play it on the Wii.

if you know what you are doing...you can actually change the game itself. i've seen things like having a level on SSBM literally filled with bom-bomb (sp?).
