I live in Central New Jersey and I have yet to see a boxed Wii console with my own eyes. Whether I go to Target, GameStop, Bestbuy, Walmart, EB Games, etc. I never saw one. I envy those who live in areas where there are Wii consoles in stock.
It it quite amazing that over two million Wii units were sold in November along in the U.S. Will it reach three million units this month? Nintendo was unable to keep up with the high demand even though it began to increase shipment per month and the world is currently in an economic recession. If this trend continues for the next few years, it would be a matter of time the Wii will reach the 100 million-sells mark.
If you want a Wii this Christmas, you're going to have to be willing to pay $100+ more than the store price. Where can you buy one? Try Craigslist. At this point, that's your only option. Stores will be sold out, it'll take too long for shipping if you go with eBay, so Craigslist is the way to go. Make sure it's someone in your area close by, and meet up in a safe location where people can clearly see you (so that he/she won't rob you), such as a coffee shop or whatever.
That's about all you've got left.
I dont understand, I'm looking for a WII for my sister and every store I go to, I'll see mountains of PS3's and XBOX 360's sold at discount and bundls, but then theres an corner with a sign that says WII SOLDOUT. In Bestbuy: SOLDOUT, in Costco: SOLDOUT, in Walmart:SOLDOUT, in Toys R us:SOLDOUT, in Circuit City:SOLD OUT, in Gamesopt: SOLDOUT, in EB games: SOLDOUT, in Target:SOLDOUT. I have looked and called in every possible place where they might carry the WII. Can anyone else help a guy in need, and have any other places to call? and are you guys in my same position?Kamekazi_69The wiis are hard to find in every area but Nintendo will make a bunch so everyone can have one for the holidays.
