I don't think they would make an MMORPG for the Wii, I could be wrong, it would be damn cool.

lol MMO on Wii :P Stick to MMO's on PC I say...on the Wii it would be the most tiring MMO on the planet with those motion controls.

I've heard that Monster Hunter 3 may work similarly to Guild Wars. While not a true MMO, it's still really fun.

Why would you even want an MMORPG on a Wii? Because you can?

I say stick with the PC. Even putting them on handhelds is a better idea.

But why not?

I probably wouldn't play it (mostly because I'd get hooked in, the way FF11 took over my life), but I'm sure there's an audience for it.

god i love guild wars...crackin games. it would be great if MH3 is similar (though, i hope it doesent require a monthly fee....one of the great things about GW). they could do something like runescape in terms of technology. most of the data is streamed down as u play and the client is very small. it would mean updates would only need to be applied to the server and the latest version would automatically come down as u play. a small client might need to be stored in wiis memory for low level running of the game..but thats it. as for somethign like GW or WOW....not a chance. MMOs need lots of storage for updates and such like. EG GW was origonall aroud 1GB in size. its now 3GB in size with tons of added features and extra content.

Exactly as mentioned. If you consider GUild Wars to be an MMO (people don't because it's not a seamless world) then Monster Hunter 3 is right up your alley.

i do not think monster hunter 3 is going to be a massive mutlieplayer like wow or war, its probly going to be like a small party of 4-8 or something like that. but that would be amazing if the wii had a big mmo with great wifi connection, and a large community.

Uh?

Monster Hunter 3 is a MMO game, and so is Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. The later will connect DS and Wii users on the same servers.

If that games allows for 16+ people online on a server, that's close enough to a MMO for me.

I highly doubt it. Runescape would be cool, but Nintendo is very picky about communications so....probably not.

Not a chance. To be honest, Wii online leaves a lot to be desired, not even close to as efficient as Live. I don't like the whole numbers thing, it makes it a pain...

You do know you can play Echoes of Times online so it would be a problem this time around, also hopefully someone will do one in the future(I wouldn't mind a 2D one).

i highly doubt that they will even make a single mmorpg for the wii, it's more of a computer thing i guess.

I'm sure that Nintendo is MORE THEN CAPEABLE of creating an MMORPG for a Wii. I mean, they made Phantasy Stan Online on the GameCube and that worked just well, so I really don't see what's stopping them from making an MMORPG on the Wii.

The Wii has the most lacking online community of any of the current consoles, so I'm pretty sure the Wii will be the LEAST likely console with have an MMORPG.

There are plenty of great RPG's on the Wii, but I would honestly hate an MMORPG on the Wii.

Not all games have to use motion controls theirs a reason a Gamecube controller or Wii classic controller can be used on the Wii for some games :P.

Ive said it before and ill say it again, and im sure others will agree. Pokemon MMORPG... it fits so well i think its stupid they havent done it lol. I dont think it will happen, since Nitnendo havent released a true pokemon rgp on a main console but yeah. I only liked red/blue and yellow. The rest were meh after the first 150 or whatever. but the RPG is solid and the mechanics are there for both an mmo and a console rpg entry.

I love my Wii but I would never buy an MMO on it. Not only would it be laggy, Nintendo would never let it have any form of communication or updates. Like I said I love my Wii but I haven't played a game online on it since last summer on the Conduit.

Theres as already mentioned monsters hunter 3 coming thats like a group-mmo but its not a mmorpg,i dont think we'll ever see one for the wii,it doesn't suit the system or it's audience, except maybe 500 people.

I don't think there should be. To me, MMORPGs are for people who can't make make friends in real life. The Wii was designed to play with your real friends!! That's probably why Nintendo puts little time into designing better online play options for their games!

it would most likely suck due to Nintendo's online structure.
