Please stop griping. your petty complaints are not contributing to the solution, you are merely pointing out the obvious problems. my intentions are not rude, there have been many many before you who have posted with the very same gripe. the truth is, some people like what games are released on a specific week, some people dont. variety is key. you people let nostalgia rule your consumership and only buy games you have played before, or recognize the name. take a risk and PLAY A GAME YOU HAVENT PLAYED BEFORE. there are many many games out on the Virtual Console and i believe that nintendo is doing a good job with all of the titles being released. games will be released when they are released, just give it time. complaining wont speed up the process.

Oh, come on. We got Earthworm Jim, please don't tell me they're not trying. Even if there are games you don't like, they're still trying.

So because you want 1 game, they're not trying? PS, Majora's Mask can't go onto the VC because it used the N64 Expansion Pak.

So does this mean I'll never get to play it unless I find myself a collector's disc?

Well, do we know this for sure? I mean, Mario Kart 64 used the memory card for some options and it still made it on there (and yes, I know the expansion pak gave the N64 a bit more juice to run games like MM).

And even if it's not released, I have the Collector's Edition disc to fall back on anyway.

The Expansion Pak literally changed the hardware to the point that it was no longer an N64. Sure, it looked like an N64, but the changes in RAM, resolution, and frame rate are dramatic enough to keep games like Donkey Kong 64 and Majora's Mask from being on the VC... Unless, of course, they update the VC. Problem with that, though, is that it would cost them money and it would only apply to a certain number of games, many of which are 3rd party.

I was looking it up, and I think there were only like 3 or 4 games on the N64 that even required the expansion pack. Sure, there are quite a few that took advantage of it, but it seems unlikely to me that Nintendo would spend the time on an emulator for 4 games.

The VC is working out like 2008. A flurry of great games near the beginning, yet eventually toning down. I think Nintendo's working hard on the VC, and it lookslike it's paying off.

Is it confirmed that the emulator in the Wii is NOT built with the expansion capabilities? Maybe they don't have to change anything at all.

Well I doubt that it's a coincidence that every single game that used the Expansion Pak is not on the VC. But Nintendo is pretty tight-lipped about it all. I tried contacting them about it once but they gave me a typical PR response.

I'd say the VC is doing rather well. Granted, there are some games we want to see *coughMajora'sMaskcough*, but look at all the good! We got Secret of Mana, Earthworm Jim, Mega Man 1-3, Super Mario RPG, Dr. Mario Online RX (I believe that's what it's called), Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time, Super Mario Bros. 3, Kirby's Adventure... Hey, when are they going to release Kirby Super Star? *waits for release of Kirby Super Star*:x

The wii should be powerfull enough to handle emulation of the N64 games that use the expansion. might need an update to do but it should be powerfull enough to do

Complaine, complain, and complain. Why do people complain so much about the VC. There have been many great games released.

Honestly first its wheres mah SMB3, then it was where mah SMRPG, and now its either wheres my castlevania 3, or Zelda MM.

some people can never be satisfied

It's not about how powerful the Wii is. The Gamecube could have run an emulation as well. But on the Zelda Collector's Edition, they tried to port MM using the original N64 specs, and the result was not great. People complained about slowdown in Clock Town, random glitches, crashes, and other bugs as well. The fact that they had to port it without using the Expansion Pak suggests that there is some kind of problem when working with it, and I doubt Nintendo wants to go that route again. They want to keep VC games as true to their original form as possible, and it seems that they're having problems with it, or just aren't going to try altogether.

I'm very reluctant to buy games on the VC i'm unfamiliar with. If you don't like them, there's no way to trade them in or get your money back. So I'd rather see games the I know I want to play that something that might have been good but was forgotten over time. I've wasted enough money on games that were supposed to be good.

It's great to see them releasing new games every week, but can't they release the popular, in demand games more frequently?

yeah, but the memory card options didn't make the translation to the VC.

actually on the Collectors Edition for the gamecube the games were not ported they were emulated that is the reason for the crashing. It wasnt even because the gamecube was too weak to emulate the N64 it was the poor job nintendo did at emulating it.
