As for having both an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii I have a pretty good opinion for this. Recently I've been playing Super Paper Mario. But what after that? Wheres the good games? Yeah, I cant wait for Mario Party 8. But waiting that long is pretty long. I've been hooked on Gears of War for the 360 and whole bunch of other things. Especially the leaked videos and with the beta coming up for Halo 3 is getting me so hyped up. So wheres this system going? Where are the games? The 360 has killer games like the Halo 3 Beta, Guitar Hero 2, Gears of War, all doing there thing. What about the Wii? Super Paper Mario? Is that it? Brawl? Woo hoo no one knows when the hel that games coming out. The future for the Wii is not looking goog. Discuss.

System Wars maybe?

But to answer your question. Just because you have a 360 and a Wii doesnt make your opinion good. It makes it no better.

If one is to pay attention to 3rd parties, you can see that they obviously dropped the ball on this one. Only Ubisoft was prepared to launch games for the Wii. EA had devoted the majority of their resources to the PS3. And then changed to the Wii after they lost profits over Christmas season. This is the same for the rest of the devs. They just didnt expect it.

Plus Nintendo has grabbed the casual market and opened new markets. Previous to this Gen, the PS2 had the casual market. Thats why they sold 115 million units. This generation everyone is picking up the Wii AND then some with new markets opening to people who find it interesting.

Wii isnt going down the drain. In fact from my perspective. The future of the Wii is looking very good (goog?).

But its just going to take some time for the games to start rolling out. Much like it did for the DS.

I think you're a 360 fanboy so I have a question.

What happened when the 360 launched at the launch? and after 6 months? Maybe a drought and when was Gears of War released? Ah, yeah last November. You have no right talk like that on Wii if the 360 had the same thing.

XBox 360 was released more than a year before Wii, and only just now has any games that would qualify as being worth playing.  Gears of War does not a good well-rounded console make.  Yes, there are still not many Wii game out right now.  No, that does not mean that the 360 is better.  As with any purchase, it all comes down to a matter of personal opinion.  I think that the future of the Wii is looking VERY good, thank you.  Nintendo has managed to put out an affordable next-gen console that has captivated a whole new breed of gamer.  Yes, shocking I know.  Another breed does exist outside of the stereotypical male between the ages of 12 and 28.  Young, old, hardcore, casual...all of these people play the Wii.  Heck, even my grandmother has played an enjoyed the Wii (she's 85).  Can Microsoft claim to appeal to such a diverse market?  I think not...

Well I have not only the 360, but just got the Wii today and I have now a total of 15 consoles...SO I am no fanboy of any console...I LOVE MY GaMES!!

I can tell you this...I have been a hardcore shooter fan for a long time now. I LOVE SHOOTERS!!...But after playing Wii sports, I can honestly say, I LOVE Wii SPORTS more than anything I have played in years....They could release bowling, tennis, pingpong, and golf games all day long if they are gonna be this fun. Me my wife and 2 boys were laughing and moving all around and having the best time we have had together in a very very long time......I thank GOD for the Wii, it may very well bring me and my family closer in time.....

How can you say the future of the Wii doesn't look goog?  I think it looks goog.  There's enough goog games due by the end of the year for me to look forward to.  So don't worry, its all goog.

all of the consoles seem to have a drought going on. only a few big games are in the near future of the xbox 360, wii, and ps3. but the good part of all this is that i get to catch up on good games that i missed. (just got baten kaitos origins and i'm loving it.)

well seein as 360 had a good year ahead of course they r now gonna get good games now wen the wii n ps3 just came out n devs r still tryin 2 work out how 2 use both p23 and wii's capabilities. i think in about a year of release for both ps3 and wii there will be a good amount of games and the developers would kno wha there doin then they can start makin high quality games i think tha wii has one of the best futures n the ps3 comin rite behind it...i love my 360 but it broke so many times tha im givin up on them n pickin up a wii this weekend..so IMO i think the best future of consoles go from Wii,PS3,360(they really need 2 fix there problems)i mean 360 been out for bout year and a half now n they still havin problems wit the 360 breakin....i havnt heard much bout the wii or ps3 breakin since they didnt rush it so quick

I also have a Wii and a 360 and I play a ton of PC games. You feel the 360 has a ton of great games but to be honest I haven't played anything new on it since I bought rainbow 6. You like Guitar Hero 2 but I am not really interested in playing it.

I have been playing SPM and Godfather for the Wii and those have been cool. Obviously, I want the Wii to come out with some more really good games but it isn't like the 360 has anything good- everything is being pushed back.

Bioshock, Mass Effect, Two Worlds, all pushed back time and again. Some people like Graw2 and guitar Hero 2 so those are something but right now it looks like all the big games for the 360 are going to come out during the holiday season (might be the same for the Wii).

I don't think it is a Wii thing or a 360 thing, I think it's just this year is kind of screwey. I'm hoping, though, that the Wii has a few strong games this summer- hopefully Metroid comes out.

honestly, every console suffers this long wait. Good games are uncommon, and greater games are rarer. However, it depends on what kind of games you like. If you want to be satisfied completely, wait for holiday season, thats when you can spend all your money on the "better" games.

I'm not expecting things to pick up for any of the systems until fall.  It's like this every year.
There'll be a few games along the way, but I'm not expecting anything much until at least September.

The Wii is not going down the drain, sure there iswnt as much games but alot of games are long and "goog" like Zelda, Paper Mario, Wii Sports, and a  whole lot more! Just having Wii Sports come with the console is nice becasue that it self is awesome, and the Wii brings your family closer. So DONT DISS IT!!!

it took sony like 3 years to get 3rd party support. BE PATIENT. we are slowly seeing publishers moving over to the wii side and it will continue. besides that dont forget THE BIG 3.
