Yes,I was playing Animal Crossing for the GC yesterday, and I played Animal Crossing for the DS a couple days ago,and I'm perfectly content with them, hence why I don't plan on buying the next installment.

I understand. If you have one of them you are not really missing this one.

That's what I'm thinking. I've got Wild World. Loved it when I played it, but got bored a few months later. I don't really feel the urge to play "Wild World+".
I watched the marathon and the only reason I'd get this game for Wii Speak.
But on the other hand..
The fishing looked really fun! They caught fish like the Cherry Perch, Pike, and at one point the guy said he caught an Octopus. This leads me to believe that you can catch tonnes of different types of fish and then sell special ones for high prices. Customizing your character and buying expensive furniture for your house looked cool too.

i was excited for it, but after watching the marathon my hopes faded as it looks EXACTLY the same as the GC version.
i don't want to be dissapointed again. i bought AC:WW and was dissapointed because it was EXACTLY the same as the GC version. it's like time is repeating itself and we're all in this weird dimension that goes round in circles...................i call it the games industry!
