I've barely scratched the surface on the original Tales of Symphonia; depending on how much I enjoy by the time I finish it,the decision on whether I will buy its sequel or not is based on if I want more of it.
Well, I had extra money to spare and there was a discount with another purchase on the site (I was Importing Glory of Hercules DS with it) so I bit the bullet and bought it. The discount was $15 off so I wound up spending around $70 all together.
There is a strong, but not definite, possibility that I will be picking up Tales of Symphonia. I would like to check out a few reviews before I commit myself.
No, because when an RPG has computer controled partners, that's it for me. It's one of the biggest reasons Final Fantasy XII sucked. IT doesn't allow complete control over the battlefield. That's why I'll stick with the king of RPGs, DRAGON QUEST. Dragon Quest VIII is THE ideal RPG

I want to get it day one but have too much going on so I'll get it in a few weeks when I have a Thanksgiving vacation from work and I'll spend a lot of time with it. I can't wait to be stuffed with Turkey and playing this long awaited game...
