Yeah I'm waiting for the colors to change. If there actually is a limited edition one with Ocarina of Time, I'd get that one.Im waiting for it to be cheaper plus i would like to see more colours, i just recently bought an XL so thats keeping me busy for now.

I used a $50 gift card on my 3DS, so I didn't worry about it being overpriced as much as I would've without the help. I can certainly understand waiting. You could get one used on Amazon for about $180-200 if you look at the Amazon Warehouse (you'll find a link on their Gold Box page). You could save that way as long as you don't mind buying used and most likely forfeiting Nintendo Club points (which would be 160 pts).

Yea, My Xl is good for now. I want to wait for a XL version and better games. $250 isn't cutting it for me for that verson of the 3DS .
Was planning on holding out for a while but I managed to get one last week for £150 from Amazon (albeit 'used' but in perfect condition). Strangely mine didnt come with any augmented reality cards so Amazon offered a full refund or 10% off so I happily took the 10% meaning a final price of £135. Really pleased :) Bring on Zelda and RE lol
I'm waiting but not for a price drop. I'll get mine when some more exciting games come out and possibly when they release some kind of bundle (preferably with a game i'd actually want :P). Some new colors might be good too but i'm definitely not counting on a price drop anytime soon.
$250 isn't a lot of money, I don't know why people act like it is. I mean, my rent for my studio apartment alone is $490 a month and that is before all my other bills. I think the 3DS is a great price and a great buy. I paid $250 five years ago to get the PSP when it was first released and it had less features.
It'd be nice but for me it wouldn't matter cause I still couldn't afford one without getting a job. And I'm not gonna get one with my mom's money. I'm just gonna keep trying to win one on this one site. :(
i got mine on launch day, but i see why people are waiting (too expensive, no colour selection and hardware itself) but for the people who are waiting for a newer version it might be a long wait, at least 2 years, because thats how the ds lite was it came out 2 years after the original ds. i can definitely see people waiting because of the lack of games. im still waiting on OOT 3D, and the rest of the awesome games that are gonna be coming out......excited for E3!!!!
I traded my Xbox 360 and games for a 3DS and so far I'm loving it, I do think the system is a bit pricy but it is a great piece of technology.
I got the money but there are no games. Rather not buy one until it's actually worth it to buy. Right now its not. heck, i might even wait until the next Pokemon 3DS game comes out to grab one.
No. Why Would you?
Heck, Nintendo just dropped the DS Lite's price, so apparently they have no idea what to do with the 3DS's price. Why on earth, when the 3DS isn't a runaway hit yet, they make the most popular handheld $30 cheaper instead of discontinuing it is beyond me.
They should've kept the DSi on shelves, cut the Lite, and pushed the 3DS more.
But the Nintendo timeline says (much like the DS) that the 3DS will get a price cut shortly after it has competition
My guess is early or spring 2012. They can probably afford one holiday at $250.

Didn't the DS Lite come out 14 months after the DS in japan?
So it should stay at 250?No. Why Would you?

I say it will stay at $250 for a year to a year and a half, and then I could see it go down to $200.

Yea, but it worth the 250, its a 250 entertainment system. Gamers shouldnt want to short change Nintendo. Thats not fair to them.[QUOTE="desk_jet"]

Yeah but it had many flaws. It was chunky, the screens didn't had too much light, the action buttons were very small, the design wasn't that great, didn't had cover for the GBA games slot, weighted too much and so on.Even if the price does drop then I still probably won't get it. I like my DS Lite. I heard somewhere on here that they were not selling like Nintendo probably expected them to.
and if you are getting it this month, why not look up reviews before you get it, because i got this game and it looks so cool, and when i got it, it really sucks and it was like 20$ when i got it and because i did not look at the reviews but that what you should do before getting a game or a system, but the 3DS is awesome so yea.
