so i just got a ds for the first time today and when i come home to play it, i 1 broken pixel all the way at the bottom of the bottom screen and 1 at the top of the top screen
is this common? i wouldnt think so but just double checking if i should return it 2 get a new 1... which might be a while since i got the last black 1
It's a potential problem with all devices that use a screen of that type, so common that 1 or 2 messed pixels normally won't get you a refund. Although I did manage to get my store to return mine so it's always worth a try.
i might not return it.. its all the way at the bottom and top of the 2 screens so it doesnt really get in the way, id go back there right away if it was in the middle lol

I think you should return it. Besides, I think there is a free 1 year warranty, so if I were you, I'd send it in.
I sure am glad that my DS didnt suffer from bad pixels when i bought it, but recently one came up, but it's in a "good" position and doesnt affect the "graphics" much...

my old DS was the same but i passed out with a beer in my hand and my DS in my pocket and i spilled the beer in me sleep, so now all my pixels are dead, but i got a zelda DS for x mas and no dead pixels i heart it
I have a stuck green pixel at the bottom right hand corner of my touch screen. It's barely noticeable I didnt even notice it for about a week. Luckily it is green which is one of my favorite colors. Other wise I would have sued the pants of nintendo for no apparent reason.
