ATTENTION: Resident Evil 5 Wii Edition Petition!

There is currently a petition to port/make Resident Evil 5 for Wii. So far there is about 8000 Signatures and counting. Please sign it if you want Resident Evil 5 for Wii. Also, Capcom does listen:

"A couple weeks ago we heard that the PSP crowd wants a Resident Evil on their platform, and thanks to a petition, Capcom has taken notice."

Can the Wii even handle the graphics? I think you regard the Wii's graphics potential a little too highly. Unlike the Gamecube, which was basically on par with the ps2 and Xbox, the Wii is currently far far behind ps3 and 360. Don't expect games with good graphics on the other two systems to be able to run on the Wii. With all honesty, Resident Evil 4 is one of the best looking games on the Wii right now, and it doesn't even belong to this generation, it was last's. And don't use that Super Mario Galaxy argument on me. SMG's graphics are good by wii's standard, but not good good good. Resident Evil 5's graphics are ground breaking. If it could run on the Wii, i wonder what capcom have been doing with the 360 and ps3's excess hardware...

Unless they make RE5 for PSP and Wii simultaneously, it wont happen.

What we should ask for is a Spin off game, like Code veronica. Use RE4 engine, bump the graphics, more intense enemies (since the Wiimote can gun them down easier), and more Wiimote specific controls.

I honestly think it'll happen. Look at RE4, it was a GC exclusive, and Capcom loves to capitalize the market.

Take for instance RE4 why did they put it out for the Wii if they thought that type of game wouldn't sell. They knew new gamers would eat it up, the chance to play it with the new controls. And how do you justify putting RE4 on the Wii then saying that RE5 is just not the type of game Wii owners would like. Sounds a bit fishy to me.

In my opinion they want to sell to the PS3 and Xbox360 crowd first, knowing or hoping that if they add a bit of new content and Wii control schemes that maybe people will buy it again.

I say its already a definite if not its in the talks the Wii numbers are too staggering to ignore.

But hell I'll sign it too.
