I went out and bought a Wii a couple of days ago, and all was good except for a letter coming from my band that said I had overdrawn my account with my debit card. I knew that was impossible because I had plenty of money in the account when I checked the account in the morning. Today I checked my online bank account and I noticed Gamestop had charged me twice for one Wii and game. So now I have to see if I can get my non existent 2nd Wii's money back.

The moral of this story is to check and make sure you aren't charged for the price of a 360 and PS3 when you didn't buy one.

Your story is exactly the reason why I make damn sure I've got the money in my account, and keep real close track of recent charges and stuff, and constantly watch my balance.

Well I'm going in today to see what they can do for me. I also got charged a overdrawn account fee that they had better replace too. Anyhoo we'll see what happens.

Don't go back to gamestop askin for ur money back...this is a situation between u and ur bank. I got charged twice for $350 at Walmart. All i did was get a copy of ur bank statement and juss talk to a teller how u got charged twice for somethin and thats why u overdrew. Not only did I get my money back...they cleared the withdrawal fee...juss a heads up so u don't look stupid demandin money at a gamestop

P.s. its better togo directly to ur bank...don't call them...they made it worse when i called them

Does gamestop keep track of the serial number of the WIIs that are purchased? Maybe on your recipt there is the serial number of your WII x 2. Check that and if that is the case than the problem is easy. They will refund your money and the bank should understand the situation and refund the overdraw.

Bad mistake by gamestop but you should really be more careful. With the machines here atleast they make you confirm the purchase while showing you the price after you've swiped your card.

your fault for signing the receipt. The camera will show if you did in fact purchase 1 or 2. If they have the same serial I don't think you could have been charged twice.

Maybe you bought two and you didn't realize it hah. Let me know what happens.

See what happened was, is when I was there I scanned my card, punched in the pin number, and nothing happened. The woman said "Oh I'll just cancel that and we'll do it again." So I'm thinking the first time actually worked quite well becuase the 2nd total was right.

This seems like an innocent screw-up. Your bank ought to fix everything. If they won't, close your account and go to another bank.

Sounds like you took it up the bum just for a Wii.

Then again, it DOES have motion controls.
