To answer your question, it's highly unlikely considering Microsoft owns rare now. Also, WHY THE HELL DID YOU SELL YOUR N64?!

Im pretty sure Nintendo holds the rights to all the Donkey Kong games, so DK64 would have a chance, but with the rumors of a DS remake I wouldnt expect it soon.

I didn't see him add Donkey Kong up there.

Donkey Kong is owned by Nintendo, Rare/Microsoft hold no rights to the games whatsoever.

They can't, it's owned fully by Nintendo.

Here's a good way to know between the two

1. If it was a Nintendo property before Rare worked on it it's still owned by Nintendo (DK)

2. If Rare made it while working for Nintendo it's owned by Rare/Microsoft (Banjo)

With this one you can say never.

Nintendo is doing too well to have that other company provide them with even more ways to lure people to get the system. Making games for the DS is one thing because they don't have a handheld themselves but helping another console maker flesh out it's games list?

Will never happen.

Not even close unless it's a completely remake because there's too much Donkey Kong 64 mentions.

There's also the big beaver on Banjo Kanzooie. It's the same beaver (as ennemies) on Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64. Since DKC is in the VC, Nintendo had licensed the character before.

I hope that Banjo-Tooie comes on the VC. I never had a chance to play it. But odds are it won't.

Banjo is complex case. Much of the stuff in the banjo games for n64 has strong references to nintendo owned franchises. I don't think anyone can do anything with those old games anymore, they are stuck in legal limbo. Making sequels is ok, but releasing banjo 1 & 2 on xbox360 would be a legal challenge. Same deal with VC.

I suppose that It's kinda helping the competition. But not in a large scale though. VC games aren't big titles nintendo relies on.

People seem to be forgetting that the Rare-owned game Jetpac was in DK64 (the game you played when you got 15 banana medals). This may prevent DK64 from being released for the Virtual Console...

I don't think it wil. Neither Kazooie for that matter, nor Conker, Jet Force Gemini, Blast Corps, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark or any other Rarewear IP (Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing I think are a bit of a grey area). Which is a shame because they're great. At least one can still find hard copies of them (if they're willing to play the sometimes non trivial asking price)

Because Microsoft doesn't have a handheld and doesn't mind milking Nintendo's customers if it doesn't take sales away from them.

It's already been said that Rare wont be working or providing games for any other consoles now that it's owned by Microsoft.

They don't own them at all.

The only one they own completely is Donkey Kong

I'd like to see Nintendo stop giving Donkey Kong games a stupid catch to them. Can't we just get another Donkey Kong 64 style gameplay!?! I mean the Dk games are great i'm just sick of the stupid catches in each game. Example.... Use the bongos. King of Swing. All of that stuff.

Also do any of you think Banjo Three will be as good as the first two?

yea that sucks. well, time to check out the wallet and eBay for a 64... they're like 40 bucks! You'd think they'd be 20 considering I sold mine 2 years ago for 12 BUCKS. Damn you gamestop....

Even though I love Jungle Beat, I agree with you. I wish they would do a DK game without a gimmick.

About banjo 3, given that I don't have a 360 I kind of hope it's not very good

Most likely they are not going to come. You'll have to buy/rent an N64 to play these games.

No way, as much as I would love to see that it won't happen, especially now that Banjo-Kazooie will be released for the XBOX360.
