Very good game. The gameplay was the best of anything i've played on the wii u, but it was the content that was lacking. Imagine with a bigger budget and 2 more years in development what it could have been. a better plot, story, cast of characters, while keeping all of its levity offline co-op for the main campaign 20 co-op missions instead of four. 10 different versus modes instead of two. allow up to 8 players in one server instead of two. (team matches) a detailed map editor just like advance wars, and can share maps online it would be 10/10 game of the generation, easy.

I enjoyed both yesrs ago and 2nd was close to being amazing. It was missing the flexibility that say Starcraft brings to a rts. If you could have open maps with say 4 people matches, then I'm sure more would have bought it and bw3 would come out. But I don't see it...

I like it a lot. and I still play it frequently. I'm thinking of getting the GC version too but not sure if Nintendo may republish it some time during Wii U's lifetime as a trilogy of sorts.

I'd play another if it weren't so simple. Battalion Wars is all about gathering all your troops in a blob and then mobbing the enemy. Not a lot of strategy involved.
