There's nothing wrong with that. I've done that with all the gameboys I ever had.

When I'm playing a game and thelight turns red, I just plug it in andcontinue playing. The only difference is that it will take longer to charge fully, that's all.

It does shorten the lifespan, but there's no other harm.

After you charge it quite a few times, you get a reduced battery life.

In the DS Manual it says it doesn't, because the light goes off (assuming you're not playing) automatically.

Once battery lifeSPAN is gone it's gone, but won't be too much of a problem for you
