I was going to purchase a 3DS at launch but reconsidered because I don't have the best eye-sight, and none of the games really interested me.
How are the games so far, and is the 3D holding up??

ocassionally, i'd turn the slider on and off to see the difference and sometimes, the difference is still quite refreshing.
Yeah, I did that with Ridge Racer 3D. It's pretty noticeable.ocassionally, i'd turn the slider on and off to see the difference and sometimes, the difference is still quite refreshing.

I'm hoping the AC 3DS has it to where you can make more than one person cause my friend has the 3DS and he said he would let me make one if it did. But yea I like the 3DS.
Upgrades visuals don't get old. HD visuals don't get old either.
The same can be said about the 3D effect. It doesn't get old and it has it's place. It's something that cannot be offered anywhere else and has the ability to immerse you into the game like nothing else on the market currently - in terms of glasses free-3D.
It's lost it's shock and awe(granted, it lost that after a few minutes of staring at the sun in Zelda), but it's still something I can't play 3DS games without. If just feels, right.
It's my most used system at the moment. I eventually sold all the games I got at launch so I only have Zelda at present, but I've got a few VC games on it and those and Zelda are still keeping me busy. Pilotwings is probably the game I've enjoyed most so far (lasted me 18 hours) with Street Fighter probably being my second favourite, but looking forward to the bigger games like MK etc.

This. Look at it as a graphical enhancement instead of a gimmick. Like HD graphics. The 3D does not get old because it improves the graphical presentation. Imagine asking a few weeks after the Super Nintendo was launched "Does the 16-bit get old?"
I don't get why people think the 3d effect is going to get old.. Sure, after you play it for awhile it is no longer new and exciting but it still is an awesome effect and it's not going to get stale unless the developers just do a bad job implementing it.
By countless amazing games this fall you mean about 6 or 7. Is this the highest you can count to? lmaoillmatic8582That's a good point, however 2 of those games are Mario and Mario Kart and those probably count as extra games. Also the 3D effect hasn't gotten old, but I haven't really felt like I've got to use it much. There haven't been enough 3DS games out and most of my system use is playing DS or DSiware games. At the moment it feels like a fancier DSi with a much better shop channel and friend list. This question will be more valid in December when the system will actually have a real library of games. Although like other people have said the 3D effect will get as old as any better visuals, it's not any different.
