I have a problem with some of the bigger clunkers on the VC. Looking at Gamespot reviews, 28 VC games got a review of less than 5. I know that they are obviously primative compared to today's standards, but considering they have 5 or so systems to draw from you'd expect them all to be the best of the best of those systems in a realization that to draw a gamer away from all of the other choices presented to them, that 10 year old game better have something special to it. Now I know that Nintendo's not gonna flood VC with the best right away, but give us at least some quality control.
I guess my bigger issue is that while I can read a review and see which of these old and sometimes obscure games suck, many gamers do not (for whatever reason). So the poor gamer buys one of these VC games for $8, sits down for the 5-10 minutes it takes to realize that there was no reason for anyone ever to come back to this game, and then proceeds to look for his next fix (which is probably another VC game).
Can anyone convince me that this isn't just a ploy from nintendo to extract money from uneducated consumer?
