Yoshi's Island DS was awesome. But the best looking 2D probably goes to FFTA2.

NSMB is not totally 2D-Mario is 3-D.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! WC2008, the monsters you summon are 3-D. Hey! You play Yu-Gi-Oh!

What do people say is the best 3-D game? (perhaps you should share). As for the 2-D, I recommend both CastleVania games first, followed by the likes of Nintendo's best (NSMB, Yoshi's Island, etc.) Contra Four is "For" the hardcore, while Metal Slug Seven will arrive in late "2007." If you catch my rhyme, then you will in time, discover a plethora of "must own" DS games undercover. (Hint: Keep an eye out for Commando: Steel Disaster).
