Hey, I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on what they thought the best party games for the Nintendo DS are. Obviously, Mario Party DS is probably my number one pick for this type of game. I played it with a couple of my friends a few weeks ago and it was great. All the great things about the console version for a handheld. And I would also have to say Mario Kart DS. It is a blast racing or playing battle. What do you guys think?
Obviously, Bomberman deserves a spot in this conversation. Also, I found that the multiplayer mode on Spirit Tracks was a lot of fun, even with only two people.
I loved playing Mario Kart DS when I still had my DS. I also loved playing Animal Crossing on there. I dont know if Animal Crossing is the type of party game your looking for but I sure did have a lot of fun playing that with all my friends.
Dokapon Journey is pretty good. Its basically a mix of mario party's board-like movement and an rpg. You can have a short game (specific goal modes) or a long game (story mode, contains a variety of goals).
I'm going to have to go ahead and mention my favorite game for the DS, Metroid Prime:Hunters. The controls are a bit complicated but you can easily explain them to your friends if they're willing to listen.
Mariokart DS is also great. Dokupon is okay, but I wouldn't know because I've only played it like twice. Starfox Command, although kind of a crap game imo, has a fun local multiplayer.
Bomberman 2 the online WI-FI battles on the DS are extremely fun although the version was only been released in Japan and Europe it's a hard game as you have 8 battling you on both screens.
