The best one that I have played so far is DBZ-BT3. I've never been a huge fan of the games, but man I've got to tell you the motion controls feel GREAT on this game. I mean I just couldn't put the thing down, me and my little brother ended up spending 6 hours of play the other day nonstop. My arms really started to hurt from all the action but man this game is AWESOME!!

What do you guys think the best fighting game for this kind of control scheme is?

I also think DBZ: BT3 is the best for that control. Its just awesome when you do a Kamehamea Wave!

No more heroes plays very intuitive and doesn't feel like just another "shake it" game.

I own Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, it's a great game. The Wii Controls aren't very responsive but do work. You can also use the GC, Classic controller or any combination of the three.

So the fighting games I can think of are...

  • Bleach: Shattered Blade
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl
  • Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
  • Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
  • Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Excellent Game! Here's my review - Link)
  • Guilty Gear XX ΛCore
  • Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution

DBZ is really good.

I think companies like capcom should write the wii off as a console where you can't do fighters. Capcom said in an interview that they wanted SF4 to be a bridge game between casuals and hardcore. What better platform to do that on than Wii? most hardcore gamers are going to get it for PS3 or 360 anyways, so you can focus on the casuals with the wii. Just add CC and GC controller support for those hardcores playing it on the wii.

The wiimote is perfect to take a game like SF4, which is a game that focuses on memorizing button combos, and easing it up for casuals by adding motion control for special moves.

Nunchuck/wiimote

A-punch

B-kick

Hold C - A and B become medium punch/kick

Hold Z - A and B become heavy punch/kick

No hardcore gamer will touch it, but casuals just won't care. As for special move like fireballs, just flick the wiimote sideways. It will be much easier for a casual or non-gamer to handle that. Flick up for a dragon punch and shake nunchuck side to side for a hurricane kick. Blanka's elctro attack could be based off how fast you can shake the wiimote.

Like I said, hardcores will just use the CC, but casuals will have more fun with the gestures. Isn't that what a bridge game is about?
