Hey i was thinking about getting a Final Fantasy game for my DSi so i was gonna get Tactics A2 but then i noticed that there are many different Final Fantasy games for the DS and I can't decide. Which do you think is the best/ would recommend. My favorite Final Fantasy and one of my favorite games of all time was/is Final Fantasy IX. But I also love VIII and FF Tactics if that helps at all.

I think Tactics is the best DS FF game in terms of enjoyment but if you want to play one for story then I think FFIV is the best.

Yes I meant Tactics A2. Really you wouldn't go wrong if you decided to buy them both.

Okay sounds good. Is Tactics A2 the same as Tactics on PSone?

No it's a lot different aside from the grid based strategy gameplay. Tactics on PS1 and PSP has a much more developed, more mature story. I play A2 for the gameplay alone, the story is really rediculous, a little childish at times and not very engaging but it's still a very lengthy, good game.

Final Fantasy IV is really great in terms of gameplay and story. It was the first FF game I had ever played and I was not disappointed.

FFIV is pretty good. But by 'pretty good' keep in mind the game is very much an old school RPG - lots of battling, relatively simplistic mechanics, and wafer-thin characters and plot.
