After I got the Wii, I bought Chibi-Robo (pretty underrated game, it's a lot funner than it was given credit for), Tales of Symphonia, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. These are all good games, but must-haves are:
Smash Bros. Melee, Paper Mario:Thousand Year Door, Metroid 1+2, Super Monkey Ball, Resident Evil 4, Mario Party 7, Pikmin, F-Zero GX, Mario Kart:Double Dash, just to name a few from various genres...

IMO makes everything good :) I hated the perspectives in that game, and I felt scared while playing it...not the good kind of "in-the-action" scared...but the kind of scared that's "I'm glad I borrowed this from my friend instead of buying it" scared ;) Smash has unlimited replay value, too. The controls are VERY intuitive as far as I'm concerned. I actually use the control stick to jump, which made it VERY easy for me. I think it's one of the easier games to get a hang of out there, and it's a game that you can actually improve your technique by learning neat little intricacies here and there. I don't even wavedash, and I can still do all sorts of cool sh1t. Like anything else good in life you need to play, play, play it to get the most out of it. It's always nice to have rubes like you guys out there to boost my self-esteem by beatin' ya to a pulp, too ;) (I use rubes in the nicest possible way, as I just like to have an excuse to type or say it) Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for bed. I think what you mean to say is hopefully with the VC controller you'll get better with the controls...because otherwise it assumes that the controls are bad, which many people probably don't think is true.
