Sup dudes. SO Last week I bought a DS and I had Ruby version from when I had an SP. It's fun and all but Pokemon has come along way. I always enjoyed Pokemon games. My question is, out of all the ones that are out wich one is the best?

Monster trainer: Platinum
Mistery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (not sure if out yet in EU)
Ranger: Shadows of Almia
I like Pokemon Ranger myself, but Monster trainer Pokemons remain the best.

I was thinking about Platinum the rest of the way, just wasn't sure. Thanks for the advice...Will try it Ranger also
I would Say Heartgold and Soulsilver. The reason being the pokemon games usually incorporate elements from previous games and (I'm assuming that) HG and SS have taken elements from platinum, which is my second choice. That being said, I recommend HG and SS, the remake of(arguably) the best generation of pokemons for the sheer amount of updates in introduced to the first generation (Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green).
Keep in mind that HG and SS are only out in Japan for the time being, so unless you feel like waiting for them come out in whatever you live in (assuming it isn't Japan), you're better off getting Platinum. Besides, if there ARE some updates that HG and SS introduce, it (most likely) won't be groundbreaking (to the naked eye anyway).
Gold and Silver are the best in the fact that they are just a great memory. From the time in my life, the game, the characters and the improvements on the originals. NOW if the remakes take from Platinum then we are in for a VERY nice treat.
All the ones that stop after mewtwo refuse to play a game with the new ones. Sorry I'm not in Kindergarten anymore. Bring back the orgiinals and I'm first in line for it

I was being sarcastic, sorry you couldn't tell. Yes the game is aimed towards children, but what I was getting at was, that just because a game is colourful, doesn't make it kiddy. I, for one, am sick and tired of all the brown's, gray's, black's and white's that invade our games. It's so gloomy and depressing. I just like games with some colour added to them, so they stick out more and are more cheerful. For example Super Mario Galaxy.[QUOTE="the_wet_mop"]

and...? what do you mean by "kiddy"? there are still the "oh so wonderful" pokemon from 1st gen, and the battling system has improved a heck of alot. with the newer games, you actually have to choose between the stats, for competitive battling, unlike R/B/Y/G/S/C which you could get maxed all statsI think its gotten a bit overcomplex from what I see people saying in these forums. And its really just the same thing over and over. And the online is just action replay so theres no point
Cruse34
I dont think it is overcomplex at all.
As for being the same thing over and over, thats what people want, people dont want the formula to change all that much. Besides, its a great formula people dont want it to change. Also, each of the Pokemon games introduced things to keep the formula fresh. I dont feel like Im playing the same thing over and over.
I have never seen anyone use AR over wi-fi.

This, Accept for me swap Platinum with Diamond. I bought Platinum right after it came out and I ended up trading it back in a couple weeks later with little story progress, not because its a bad game, but because I have played nearly every version between red/blue and Diamond. I find myself really getting burned out on the Pokemon thing. My fault for doing pretty much the same thing 8 times or so: battling all the gym leaders then beating the game, and burning 100+ hours in the process each time. Perhaps Im going to wait for the special version of each pokemon game cycle instead of whatever comes out first.
Ive been enjoying POkemon since the beginning, but the constant repitition is wearing thin my enjoyment. Make a full fledged Pokemon game that isnt just the battling for Wii and then my interest will be captured again probably.
