RPGs are one department that the Wii kind of lacks in, but Tales comes out in November, plus there's Fire Emblem if you're into that sty le. Arc Rise Fantasia is slated for the Wii and it looks awesome, but doesn't even have a release date for Japan yet, so no word on when it'll hit the West. Can't think of any others.
Well, if your one of those people who play's mostly RPG's, than you did a very wrong thing, because up until now, the Wii hasn't had any really amazing RPG, but Tales of Symphonia 2 is coming out in November..so that's good I guess.
I suggest you either get some RPG's off the virtual console or maybe... get a DS? the DS has about 6 or 7 really good RPG's.
Super Paper Mario
umm... Not sure if there is anything else but Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World comes out in November. If you haven't played Tales of Symphonia for gamecube, then you should check it out. Get it used for maybe 20 bucks. It's a great game. Also, some cool RPGs are on the VC.

took the words out of my mouth
Tales of Symphonia comes out soon. There's also Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers, Arc Rise Fantasia, and Kizuna.
Games currently out that are RPG's are Fire Emblem (mix of RPG and turn based strategy), Opoona, and Super Paper Mario. The Wii's lacking in RPG's. Also in FPS but that's beside the point.
Welcome to wii gaming!
There are good RPG games for the wii (and other great titles that will be available this year).
Here are the good ones I can think:
- Super Paper Mario
- Tales of Symphonia II (November)
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (VC)
- Baroque
- Shining Force (VC)
- Little King's Story (2009)
- Ys Book I & II (VC)
- Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon (at your risk)
- Rune Factory Frontier (2009)
Hope this helps.

This!
and I added a few VC games
What's with the total ignorance about Chocobo Dungeon? :(Jazunn
You know what's funny? I mentioned all the RGPs I could think of, but totally forgot Chocobo's Dungeon, even though it the only RPG I own for the Wii. It's just that forgettable for me. I loved it at first, but by the time I got to the laviathan dungeon, I was bored out of my mind. The only time I play it anymore is when I need to rock the baby back to sleep, since you can play it with one hand and it's turn based.
Super Ppaper Mario is not really an RPG; it's a platformer with RPG elements if you ask me. The best RPG's right now are GC and VC games if you ask me. Play Tales of Symphonia (GC), Baiten Kaitos (GC), Paper Mario Thousand Year Door (GC) or Mario RPG (VC) to name a few.
ToS 2 comes out Nov 11th, countdown is on!
The Wii is great & I've been saying for awhiled that GC was very underated somif you haven't played GC games yet then you have a lot of options.
I'm new to the Wii. Traded in my RROD 360 and got a Wiicdavidb
[QUOTE="nomadph"]he can play the gamecube RPGs on his wii right?Sonick54
GC didn't have many rpgs either unfortunately :(
True but ToS and Paper Mario: TTYD were both awesome. :D As for Wii games, currently SPM is the best RPG, imo. However, I believe ToS2 will easily claim the postion when it comes out, and you can quote me on that. ;) Not to mention all the amazing RPGs on the VC. The Wii has a lot to offer for RPG fans. Please Log In to post.
