Lucario. Floaty and defensive enough to escape and predict until the opponent is dead, with just enough power to finish off heavies reasonably. Not to mention the fact that he has no real weakness that you can't overcome with skilled play.
I also love the fact that many battles start out with the opponent losing a life and respawning to a Lucario at an absurdly high damage; it scares people, and can cause them to play a lot worse, such as going out of the way to be offensive; all this does is leave room open for me to aura sphere and footstomp them to death. Naturally, if this happens, it allows me to take off another life without dying, and have them respawn yet again to an ever stronger Lucario.
If you master his groundgame and get decent at his airgame, you will do well in tournaments, even if he's not considered a top tier (or even a high tier) character.
... Um, I love difficult and unpopular characters, and Lucario seems to get a lot of hate from the mewtwo fanbase that inhabits these forums. Also, I freakin' loved his movie, and have an attachment to the character outside of brawl. So, yeah.
