I like card strategy games but I never really liked Yugioh that much. Instead, I stumbled across SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighter. It's a card game where you collect different cards and build a deck from your favorite characters from Capcom and SNK games.
Other than that, I really enjoyed Etrian Oddysee because it was a bizarre RPG. The game relies more on the gameplay than the story. What's cool about this game is you can pick who you want in your party, what they look like and their name. It reminds me of the good old D&D pen and paper RPGs back in the day. The funny thing is, you become attached to your character and they develop their own personality in your head, despite the lack of information given about them in the game. It's one of the most unique RPGs I have ever played.
Defiently Elite Beat Agents. I also heard that Jump Ultimate stars was a cool game but never got my hands on it yet (only available in Japan) Jakendo
EBA isnt less popular. It even got GOTY last year for the ds. If i were you, id go for Feel the Magic, since its really one of the only less popular games ive ever played ds-wise
A game that just came out is Rune Factory. It's a Harvest Moon game but quite different than the others. Check it out.
A game that I seem to go back to is Urbz: Sims in the City.
And, of course, PuzzleQuest.

Yeah Etrian Oddesy is a fun game with quite a lot to do. I think there should be more games that give you a freedom to choose how you play the game. Much like Nippon Ichi games. Disgaea for one.
Luminous Arc is one of my favorite games for the DS. Intresting story and character development, Wi-Fi. Replay value. It is a strategy rpg and is not that well known.Rockhopper_45I agree.
I have Rune Factory too, it's way better than most the other Harvest Moons.
URBZ. I thought it was for pc; some sort of chat game so Ipaid no mind to it. I will want to check it out on DS someday when I've got the extra cash.
I looked at a copy of Luminous Arc at the shoppe, but the platform did not appeal to me. It doesn't look like you can ventureoutside of garden squares?? Plus, it was 35$.
Daigasso! Band Bros.
Import this game and become the msot popular person ever in your area. I have a small locla reputation amongst the gamestops and electronics stores for putting songs on their local machines if they didn't make the DS go stright to game at launch. I have actually seen people play the song I put on it and then go up to a sales rep asking for it. I also noticed that my local best buy started importing the game because of my shennaigans and the local gamestops stopped letting people use the download function cause it kept making people mad to play it but not be able to buy it :D
If you don't want that then I'd suggest sword of mana for a nice simple hack and s;ash rpg with a sweet item system. It wasn't really my syle of game to begin with but many of my friends loved it. It's diablo to go! Only cute and cuddly...

Yeah its gameplay is great, item combining is a greatbonus. I just wish you could make some none story characters and choose job classes. Although the characters can sometimes get to you. Like one guy said "Its as if everyone is hitting on you, even your younger brother!"
i would definetly have to say hotel dusk room 215 its a mystery game easy to get stuck on. it does have a little cussing in it but not to bad really a good game!KRAZYOWNZ
This thread is beyond ancient...
i would highly recommend lunar knights and all of the castlevania series for ds. they all have smooth graphics an amazing plot (although if youve played castlevania before you might find the plot somewhat repetitive, still good though) controls that fit and a detail loved by many gamers is that there is a "level up"system... but if you go for more competitive gamesyou would do betterpurchasing games like mario kart, hoops 3 on 3 (mario hoops lacks wifi) and metroid. the latest final fantasy remakes claim to be good but i have yet to get my hands on them... =)
Arkanoid DS. It's at a great price, and one I heartilly recommend.
Tetris DS. A rare gem--hard to find, but when you do, consider picking it up. One of the truly great puzzle games that truly gets better with age.
Drawn to Life--Another great platformer that fell through the cracks. A shame, really--a lot of people missed out on an innovative game.
Monster Bomber--One of those games you keep going back to. Well worth the effort to find!
