Do you think now that UBISOFT has seen their games do well on the WII, they will put more time and effort into future games because they know it's not as much of a gamble?  Maybe They'll use a better team for the development of Redsteel 2. Or make another full on adventure game for Rayman.

I can see how you would feel that way, But they were launch games. Games never work 100% with brand new consols. And like I said, they might not have wanted to put alot of time and money into something they weren't sure would do well.

I have a feeling that now they ain't rushing titles for launch, they have done well with Wii and the Wii is so popular that we will see some nice titles from ubisoft I believe red steel 2 could be everything we thought the first game was going to be.

imho ubisoft are one of the great devs and publishers.

theyve been pretty poor so far this gne though. but look at last gen.

Splinter cell series

POP series

beyond good and evil

theres 7 games off the top of my head from last gen that turned out very well overall. thats alot more than many other publishers.

but yes they have been poor so far. they do have GRAW which is very popular, and rainbow 6 vegas too.

red steel was also a very ambitious game that needed another 6-8 months in the oven at least before release. it definately showed intent from ubi though in terms of trying something a little bit out there.

there other games though, like far cry wii, and the POP rehash are pretty bad though. POP is a good game but its a good GC game that was designed with traditional controllers in mind.

i just hope that ubi is just using these games to give their teams a chance to get their heads around the wii. i really hope they have some killer ideas up their sleeve. they have the talent, they have the resources, i just hope they have the will.

but ubi are known for making some class games. these games do take time (2-3 years usually) though.

Yeah, now that they've had some hands on with the WII, they should pump out some games that are a little more functional. Even if Redsteel 2 doesn't come out amazing, it will most likely have alot of the bugs worked out, and have better motion controls.

I'm just hoping that we'll see more Red Steel, PoP type games, rather than more Rayman

Oh but you will be missing out on the beautiful Assassin's Creed, which looks amazing.  Ubisoft last gen was one of my favorite 3rd party units.  They are doing what anybody would do with the success of the Wii capatilize.  I hate that they are making crap games, but I am not buying those.  All we have to do is not buy the crap Ubisoft puts out and buy the good stuff.  This lets them know we only want good games.

Twilight princess was in development for a long time. Most companies rush games to fit the launch dates, but Twilight princess had the advantage of already being made.
