this i think is a good discussion. Zelda games are always the pinnacle of action adventures when they are released, and they almost never have huge flaws. I however have found some. you may ask why this is in the DS section when only one zelda game has come out for the DS, but that is because the biggest flaw I ever found in a zelda game is on the otherwise fantastic DS iteration, Phantom Hourglass. I despise how you must replay each previous level of the Temple of the Ocean King to get to each subsequent one. this is made even worse by the fact that the Temple of the Ocean King is arguably the hardest dungeoun in the game. But thats my opinion. I wanna hear yours! pls reply.

Repetition is the biggest flaw.

I like the temple because it was building on previous successes

Each time you were asked to go to the temple you went just a little farther and bettered your own mark.

The series as a whole needs to stop the dark/light world (or some variation of it) thing that gets really old. Everything else is good, I think Wind Waker and side stories like Majora's Mask were some of the best because they didn't have you travel back and forth between worlds.

i dont mind the temple of the ocean king. its not as hard each time around because you can breeze through the puzzles that you have already gotten through.

I have to agree. Although it was challenging it got boring after going through so many times.

i think majoras masks requirement to have to go back in time every 3 days was the worst thing to ever happen to zelda. hopefully people agree with me.

I like legend if zelda games a lot, BUT I HATED PHANTOM HOURGLASS. The combat on it was boring too.

The biggest flaw is that every major release since Ocarina (Wind Waker, Twilight Princess) has tried too hard to be like Ocarina. In both games the story constantly relates how the new game is similar to the old one. Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing considering that they are sequels, but if Nintendo wants to make another Zelda that's a masterpiece entirely in and of itself it needs to release a game that breaks away from Oot and establishes itself as the pinnacle of the series. Otherwise it will always fall short.

I think the biggest flaw in the Zelda series, just like the 2D metroid games, is the gameplay. The games are always so linear. You have to practically do everything in a specific order. There isn't enough open-ended play. And the boss battles are always too simple. There's not enough strategy and chance involved.

The main problem I find with the game is there are so many games and the story line as a whole has lots of gaps.
