I'm getting good at this whole 'predicting' thing. Hated Heroes of Mana and thought Revenant Wings was a bit lackluster, so this is no surprise to me.

Gamespot know poopy about RPGs

This was expected.

Has anyone played it to validate the score? I was thinking of getting it but not so sure after poor reviews.

No surprise here. I played the original on the 360 and was greatly disappointed. The sad part is that the game had so much potential. It had gorgeous graphics, the great art of Yuji Horii and a fairly big budget. Despite all this, the game was ruined with a boring, flat story and a dull setup on the world map. And let's not even mention the same horrible song that played during every boss battle...

As soon as I heard comparisons to Heroes of Mana, my hype pretty much died, so this isn't really a disappointment.

Yeah 360 version was a huge let down for me. Was waiting for a good JRPG on 360 for so long and that was such a huge let down. I couldnt even finish it.

This is pretty much what I expected of it.
