im pretty sure the wii uses bluetooth for its wireless capabilities(correct me if im wrong)
so do you think the september surprise could be that wii owners can sync their blue tooth headset for like their phone onto their wii to be able to chat online? its just an idea but it would be cool, especially since I already have one.
I think the ps3 also does the same thing as well

thanks

(i posted this on gfaqs.but i also want to hear feedback on this idea if possible)

A number of us are hoping for this. Who knows though.

i hope the wii does get a headset soon because the experience of playing online is dramatically decreased since you are not able to interact with the person you are playin against. thats why then i play mario strikers online its as if you are just playing the computer a higher difficulty setting.

like with the nintendo brand sd cards, wayyyyyyy overpriced where you can just get a sandisk or something and save a fortune. I'm sure you'd be able to use off brands

You are correct.

Actually...the use uses Bluetooth for the controllers wireless functions, not for getting onto WiFi but yes, I've also thought of Nintendo using the built-in Bluetooth to add headset functionality to the Wii, it'd be so awesome!

Well yeah, you're right. I considered going into detail on that, but decided to just give the OP the "short answer".

psoesm

They didn't block those because they weren't first party. They blocked AR because it allows for cheating in online games, and freeloader because it overrides the system's region lock.

that seems like a very illogical move to make considering the DS is region free and it has an AR

Blutooth only supports 7 connections so you'd be hampered with 4 controllers and only 3 headsets.

Of course if you have 4 people in the same room then they all hear each other but the other side doesn't.

They could make a splitter for one person's Wiimote and nunchuck slot.

that seems like a very illogical move to make considering the DS is region free and it has an ARpsoesm

Nintendo handhelds have always been region free simply because Nintendo figures it's more profitable that way (a person visiting a different region can buy games for their handheld while they're there). It's just the opposite for home systems.

The DS has an AR simply because Nintendo can't do anything about it for that system.

Yeah, there are no firmware updates available for the DS.

That would be awesome, but you can't register devices on the Wii, so the headset would probably only work for the Wii which would be kind of annoying...

As well as bluetooth headsets, they should support usb headsets too - that way people can choose a solution based on what they already own / can afford.
