A little tricky sometimes, thereby frustrating when you've pulled off some huge air and you're spending all your air-time trying to do the trick properly, but if you don't end up doing it, you've just wasted a big jump... Otherwise good. Generally difficult, but there's nothing wrong with that. The world needs more difficult games.

Very hard to master when you first try it, but after about 3 hrs of practice you should be able to nail them 80 percent of the time.

Couldn't agree more, but surely by making the controls arkwardly unresponsive isn't the way to go about it?

I wouldn't say the controls are unresponsive. They respond fine, but they're not very lenient towards mistakes. You've got to do it right and once you can do them right, then you've got no problems. Just to add though, I absolutely love the controls for carving. It takes a few minutes of getting used to, but once you get the hang of them you'll never want to go back to more normal control schemes.

Hard. I do it slow and I release the a button a split second after the end of the drawing.

Don't confuse "not used to" with awkwardly unresponsive.  Every one of us isn't really fully used to motion controls, simply because games that truly use them are awful rare.  The word "unresponsive" would entail that they won't do what they are supposed to do.  There are a couple people out there that can show that they do respond well when you enter the right motion.

The controls are very natural and easy to get used to. It's almost impossible to do any of the Uber Tricks that you dont start off with though. They are very complicated later in the game. You don't need to use those ones ever though so it's okay. The only thing I've had an issue with is the fact that the turbo button is the same as the grab button so when I'm about to land, I press the boost button and BAM I wipe out because he attempts the grab while he's in the air. Rarely happens though and wiping out isnt THAT big of a deal (unless it was a huge jump and you did a crazy trick combo and thats the only way to win the event you're in)

The controls do indeed have a steep learning curve to them, but I like that. I doubt if it's possible to get as big of combos as you could in other SSX games, but that's okay because this one actually takes more skill to play. The uber tricks are hard to learn, but once you learn how to do them correctly their not too difficult. As previously stated, carving is very intuitive and feels great to use.

Fair enough. Instead of unresponsive, how about movement is too exact? Awkwardly exact lol.
