i stated "almost"
None the less, your still going to get skimped on features. Don't hold your breath for Downloadable songs.
sorry i should have made myself clear, I REFUSE TO BUY ROCKBAND WII because they cheaped out on alot of features when there is the technonlgy available to make them aka GHWT

Oh gotcha, so even if there wasn't an alternative you wouldn't buy the game on principle.
Gotcha

The link was a dead end but I found the article. Impressive but it's still bogged down by the fact that you'll only be able to have a very limited number of songs.

it can!! read this and learn....this proves how people and developers think Wii is stil a kids console and a past gen console with good looking controllers: http://wii.ign.com/articles/883/883120p1.html
Smash Bros did it with created stages etc. In a recent IGN interview, they said they would be using the SD cards for more storage for songs.Too bad the Wii can't read content for a game from an SD card.

GHWT Wii has an in-game Music Store, which allows players to preview, purchase and download new songs as we release them online. Players can purchase songs using their Wii Points. It's really easy. You can download to the Wii System Memory or store songs on an SD Card, called the "Rock Archive."

Thanks for the link! It made my hype level go alot higherFrom what the GH4 people said, the only difference between the Wii version and other console versions will be the graphics, all the other features will be intact.
I think this may be the first music game I buy because it's so feature rich and can compete with the other versions.
I'm still going to buy it today..
tbh I only used online for GH III at most 5 times and I would only use the character customization once or twice.. as Far as DLC I'm stuck using the track packs which is imo better than the DLC on GH 4 because it only cost $30 while for GH 4 you have to buy a memory card, then buy some Wii points, and then buy the songs.. It's much more easier to just pay $30 and get everything.

The track packs are fine if you have very very diverse taste in music. I looked over TP Vol 1 and I wouldn't play half those songs. So the other half I enjoy becomes pretty expensive.

The Song Creator wont be as in depth but will still be there. I belive the 360 and ps3 will share the same comunity so if ur playing on ur 360 u can play a person whos using a ps3 but for obvious reasons the wii's online will only be from wii to wii but im not sure on that. Other than that yes pretty much everything will be intact. Also wii is suppose to get some exclusive features other than the Wii standard instruments. So everyone needs to stock up on Wiimotes recharable batteries and 2Gig SD memory Cards

on IGN, it has been confirmed by activision that there WILL be DLC for the Wii version.

I understood from the interview that the song creator will be the same but you could only share the songs in the wii community.

Number One, your first mistake is thinking we care. Number Two, your not boycotting jack. If you want to boycott Rock Band, thn dont say your gonna get something over it. Thats just saying you want something over another. If you want to boycott get pick-it signs and go outside the offices and boycott it for lack of features, but because I know you WONT do that, you arnt boycotting anything. You exaggerated your own topic.
You Fail
I think we're all missing the issue here. Rock Band Wii is a PS2 port (comfirmed by features and same developer), and is coming out 7 months after the PS2 game did.
Does it really take 7 months to ship the same game? Do you really think we should be paying premium (remember what happened to the dollar) over the other versions? My local shop owner was focusing pre-orders until I told him it didn't have online, then he looked at me and said "Wow, what a ripoff."
Milking, EA does it.

You can copy songs over from an SD card but you can't actually play songs from an SD card.
