I have an older Wii and not a WiiU. I went today and purchased 2 brand new Nintendo brand Wii / WiiU remotes this morning. I brought them home and synched them up and they seemed to be working perfectly until I went into the Homebrew Channel. Once in the Homebrew Channel menus, both of the brand new remotes stopped responding altogether (but my older remotes work fine in the homebrew menus). Once I actually get into a game, the new remotes work perfectly again. Any Ideas?Roundeye420
Nintendo may have altered the new remotes just enough so that they aren't recognized by the homebrew channel. Not sure if that's the root problem, but it's an idea.

Found your problem.OreoMilkshakePlease share! if needed, I'll simply return the new controllers, but I'd rather have some reliable fix for the issue.

He means that the homebrew channel is the problem(bolded text). Given that the remotes work fine outside of it, it's probably safe to assume it's the software itself. Unless there's an updated version out there which corrects the issue, I can't see your new remotes working with it.

LoL...I didn't even notice the bolded text. Update your HBC, the older one doesn't recognize Wiimote tion plus remotes, but the newer versions do.Please Log In to post.
