Call of duty 5 coming to wii and ps2

Another Call of Duty title was discussed to continue the series of annual releases. This does not necessarily mean that it will be titled Call of Duty 5 or that Infinity Ward will be working on it. In addition to the platforms Call of Duty 4 was released on, this next CoD game will come out on Wii and PS2.

*sigh* i wouldn't be surprised if this was just a port of the ps2 version :(

sadly it will be. i dont even know why they still support the ol' ps2. sure you can say "omgz teh conzumer base is kerazy!!!1!" but that doesnt mean we should suffer. hopefully gh4 will have songs that have involved rifts and rhythmic playing (much like a guitar would ACTUALLY be played), rather than sloppy shred work (i'm looking at you Raining Blood!). Problem with that is that they make it feel like the button masher of rhythm games. oh well, at least there's rock band!

But I want a Wii-exclusive series where it has an original story line and it has good control, graphics and Wi-Fi multiplayer. (and yes, that's pretty much wanting Metroid, but that's more of an adventure game I think)

Well this is a bit offtopic gaming industry comment but given the PS2 userbase and the amount of people still playing on it rather than jumping to the new gen (yes, the eye toy, sing star and buzz players included!) there's still some market for PS2 titles and Sony should really defend their image and interests by not pulling the plug and confirm a few titles are still ocasionally realeased. If they just turn the PS2 off it will increase chances unhappy "casual" players will not buy a PS3.

About a new Call of Duty game for the Wii:

- no WW2 please -> i'm tired of germans going on holidays to Paris together in large numbers (aka blitzkrieg) or camping confortably at their beach bunkers enjoying northern europe sun and then the americans arrive and start shooting everyone.

- no wiimote+nunchuck movement minigames -> the most frustrating parts of CoD3 on the Wii, where you had to simulate an epilepsy attack to shacke a german off your rifle.

- more and sharper control schemes

- online as CoD4 -> level reward system and decent options for every taste.

- no PS2 ports -> We all had enough of them haunting our GameCubes and Xboxs, lowering the graphics standard and creating bad port issues. Not interested in wasting the already limited Wii hardware potential with this industry-brake again. Funny that in the old gen it were exactly the playstation owners that used to say that graphics weren't everything refering to GC and Xbox.

trauma center ,No more heroes,Zack and wiki, RE:UC,MLB power bros etc...

atleast my list was not that far away from reality)

yeah that's exactly what I mean't. A solid FPS that gets alot of effort put into it instead of just being copied and pasted.

Now that I think about it, you may be right. The ps2's death might actually help the wii, lol.

I'm not surprised. The truth is, that it is proven fact that game sales for PS2 + Wii >>> Xbox 360 + PS3. Not to mention it's cheaper to make a game with Wii's graphics than NExt gen graphics.

I think he didnt, well I wouldnt put SEGA in that category, They are making Sega Tennis with no online, Sonic and the secret rings wasnt great, and the sonic rider crap didnt have online either, and they also put it on teh PS2 which means that they dont have no hope on the game, to make it an exclusive tittle.
