There basically aren't any action rpgs on the ds. They're all turn-based jrpgs or strategy rpgs, it's a bummer, I know. That's what you get from a japanese platform. You're going to have to turn to a console for them, and if you haven't played them already pick up Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and Fallout 3 (they're all amazing!).

Normally I like to plug Legend of Zelda, but it isn't crowded with enimies like Kingdom Hearts. So I recommand The World Ends With You, it has plenty of action if you constantly scan around & it's music is pretty darngood.

The first one that comes to mind is Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. It's a fun game on its own and it really shines when you have people to play with. I haven't personally tried the online but I hear it works relatively well.

Children of Mana, Dungeon Explorers, Lunar Knights, FF 12 Revenant Wings, Dragon Quest Heroes, and a couple others I won't mention because they follow the formula that you have to spend hours and hours dieing and replaying the same levels just to be able to advance. To be honest, I had to invest in a PSP to get my aRPG fix, but being a big Diablo fan, I found Etyrian Oddysey and other games similar to be more fun. I label them "first-person aRPGs."

Online is really fun but if you play worldwide is laggy as crap. You can play international or continental which is fine.

The PSP's RPG library isn't the greatest.

Aren't they just called dungeon crawlers? At one point I got really into Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore.

Final Fantasy 4, Chrono Trigger, or the World Ends With You.
