You would have to trade in the DS Lite and hope that is enough to get an older DS, if they have one. So it is possible but I don't know how much they will give you for a DS Lite. And good luck finding an original DS, they don't even make them anymore.

Well it depends on what you call "better". The original DS's buttons are more um... clicky I guess. They don't have the mushy feel of the Lite. And I think the d-pad is better on the original DS. But after a while you get used to the Lite's buttons. Â
go for it if you want but understnad this, the lite is smaller, lighter, brighter, longer battery ( by a decent amount) better stylus, sexier, better power button placement, and all of those things i think make up for buttons that you might not like but willg et used too ( and the first DSs buttons arnt great by any means, on top of that you might want to look into modding the DS lite for differant buttons its not hard to do )
Well its been a while that i got my ds lite and still hate the buttons. So i think when ill go to eb games ill change it and hope to not regret itpanut12
Well, I hope you'll be satisfied. I didn't like the buttons at first, but after a while I got used to them. Anyway, many games are controlled with the touch screen so you don't have to bother with the buttons too much then.Â
