Can I play these without motion control?

I can't use motion controls (Wiimote or even move the gamepad around a lot). Can I play these games without any motion controls:

New Super Mario U/Luigi U

Pikmin 3

Super Mario 3D World

Zelda Wind Waker

I can't think of any WiiU titles that actually require motion controls. Maybe Rayman Legends (with the gamepad twisting bits) and ZombiU?

I think even Rayman Legends has a non motion control option. At least I thought.

But yeah the motion controls of the WiiU are way less intrusive than the Wii.

Are you sure Pikmin 3 doesn't require motion controls? I read the best controls require the wiimote or at least require moving the gamepad?

calm down bro... your hated motion controls arent in pikmin 3...you can use the gamepad and not have to move it or nothing.

i think you can shake the gamepad to dismiss the pikmin.....with the wiimote and nunchuck you have to shake the nunchuck to dismiss the pikmin.....

im not sure if you can dismiss them by pressing a button....button even if its not.....dismissing pikmin is only done sometimes anyway.

You may have misunderstood what you read. You can play Pikmin 3 without Motion controls, but if you want the "best" controls for Pikmin 3, you need to use the WiiMote and Nunchuck.

Why do they make it better?

In a game where you have to deal with split second precision and accuracy, the Wiimote is the best option. You can use other methods to play this game though but the Wiimote gives you the quickest and most accurate aiming out of them all. You should try out all the methods to see which you like though.

All the methods are fun to use so you'll still enjoy the game.
