can nintendo ds games from the us work on an Australian 3ds?

hi i don't know if this belongs here but any ways i wanna get pokemon soul silver but its from the us and i have an Au 3ds and i wanna play it so badly but will it work? or is it region locked? please help me out here :) thanks, Farny101

As long as it's not DSi enhanced it should work fine.

Some games, like Pokemon Black and White, have extra features when used on a DSi, and in Nintendo's infinite wisdom they decided to region lock these games.

SoulSilver isn't DSi enhanced if I remember correctly. So it should work.
